Tmobile trade-in these days is useless. Go5G may get some benefits but if we can wait a little Samsung gives better price than TMobile. You will get it for less than $700 for Ultra without any trades unlocked.

24 months is better than 36 months other carries do now. However, I am absolutely sure I'll stay with them for 2 years when I have unlimited everything on 7 lines for $130/mo, not getting fleeced at all.

I would keep in mind that since the S23 series, Samsung deals haven't been as good. I kept track of S24U and even 2 weeks ago, it was on the FP of SD for ~$770.

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/1049727

In October 2024, there was a "popular" deal on SD for the regular S24 via Amazon and it was still $600:

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/1007514

The best deals on the Samsung website are for the Ultra and with EDU, so not everyone will qualify. The phone in OPs post is the regular S25.

Unless Samsung does something drastically different from the last 2 releases, I don't think the price will drop that much. It seems like they're trying more and more each year to be comparable to Apple in the US, which means keeping their prices at a "premium" level.

The days of upgrading at release for $100-$200 + freebies seem to be over, which is a huge bummer.

OP's deal work for me but gonna pass since it's not "juicy" enough and the phone is locked to T-mobile. I'm on $20 T&T plan and trading in the $99 refurbed S21 back to Samsung. Total comes out to be $780 for S25 256GB and Buds FE. So end cost for the S25 after trade credits will be around $400. Pass.

I ordered my S25 before this deal, and they adjusted my S21 trade-in value from $400 to $500 automatically 2 days ago. My S25 arrived today. My 24 monthly credits adjusted to like $29 out of the $31 monthly Equipment Installmentsl Plan on the old Military Plan (4 lines for $100).

Congrats! I'm regretting not ordering mine sooner. I thought I would have to wait until Feb 7 to get my phones, but suddenly got shipping notifications to arrive on Feb 4. Can't wait to have a battery that doesn't die in no time.

Too many T-Mobile locked phones in my drawer so gonna pass. Wish Samsung is like Apple when it comes to ordering with carrier deals as they offer unlocked even if going through carrier.
I may be wrong, but from what I remember, you can get the phone unlocked after using it for 6 months. Is that not the case anymore?

500 trade or 1000 trade better??have go plan. I like s25ultra
This deal is just for those of us that have a legacy plan like the magenta plans. Obviously with the newer plans you should go for the higher trade in values although I think the $1000 trade in is only when buying the ultra. I think its $700 on the S25.

Nope, T-Mo only unlock if there's no active EIP on the device and recent change in early EIP payoff = lose promo credit.

I'm on Magenta military and with a trade in of an S-series S10 or newer, and adding a line, they will give me $800 in bill credits over 24 months, making the S25 base model with 256GB free.

I went to Samsung, picked the T-mobile version, chose add a line and saw the deal.

Didn't have a phone I wanted to trade, so I bought an intact S20 FE from Swappa for $95. T-mobile needed the IMEI, so I had the seller send me the IMEI of the trade-bait phone after I paid.

Adding a line won't affect me for long, my number that I share is a Google Voice number. I'll just shut down my old line in 90 days. The only places that I'll have to update my number are a few apps like Lyft and Uber, they don't accept VOIP numbers.

$500 is a good deal. But my S10+ still works great, battery life is a little short but still take great photo and have headphone jack and SD Card!!!

I recently got a 1+13 and that is really really big battery (6000mah) and no need to get with a 24 month credit thing. I have switched to the 1+13 for my main phone now and use the s10 as a spare.

Yes, I was able to do this a few days ago, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet. The oldest phone for the full credit is the S10, which I'm probably never giving up. My S21 FE qualifies though so I'm still debating. Nothing on the S25 seems worth the extra money, so I can wait for better deals.

I have an S10 and definitely don't want to part with it but damn I'm not interested in giving up any phone

gotta s23u with a cracked screen, and a legacy magenta 1.0 plan.

trying to navigate my best option, s25 doesn't seem like that much of an improvement, but also paying $350+ for an authorized screen repair seems ridiculous. I have replaced screens on previous devices with no big deal for like $50 in parts, but the s23u seems more complicated and the parts more expensive, so..... bleh. seems like an authorized place would be the least expensive.

that said some of these deals like you've posted wouldn't be that much more for a new phone... but I am not sure I want to be locked in to t-mobile any longer. my s23u final payment/discount is this month, and my wife and I's phone bill is ridiculous (like $170 for 2 lines, kill me now)

any advice from SDers? I feel like the best answer is probably try and fix my s23u, but also maybe switching carriers or buying direct from Samsung unlocked for a s25u deal would save money overall

pixel also an option I guess. :/

I traded in my Note 20 Ultra 5G and was already on the 5G Next plan or whatever. Their promo said my trade-in was worth $1000 under the trade promo. I'll be paying about $17/mo. for the S25 Ultra with 512GB. Not sure if I optimized, but considering I'm unlikely to leave T-Mobile (been with them almost 20yrs, I think), it doesn't feel like I got fleeced.

Yes I think this is the answer. Got to go through tmobile in some way. Between going thru tmobile or having a better trade in on Samsung site. Let's see what I can muster. Thanks
Do you get the phone unlocked if you go thru Samsung instead of T-Mobile?
