Tmobile trade-in these days is useless. Go5G may get some benefits but if we can wait a little Samsung gives better price than TMobile. You will get it for less than $700 for Ultra without any trades unlocked.

24 months is better than 36 months other carries do now. However, I am absolutely sure I'll stay with them for 2 years when I have unlimited everything on 7 lines for $130/mo, not getting fleeced at all.

I would keep in mind that since the S23 series, Samsung deals haven't been as good. I kept track of S24U and even 2 weeks ago, it was on the FP of SD for ~$770.

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/1049727

In October 2024, there was a "popular" deal on SD for the regular S24 via Amazon and it was still $600:

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/1007514

The best deals on the Samsung website are for the Ultra and with EDU, so not everyone will qualify. The phone in OPs post is the regular S25.

Unless Samsung does something drastically different from the last 2 releases, I don't think the price will drop that much. It seems like they're trying more and more each year to be comparable to Apple in the US, which means keeping their prices at a "premium" level.

The days of upgrading at release for $100-$200 + freebies seem to be over, which is a huge bummer.

This is only for people who want S25 but not for Ultra as Samsung trade in gives very good value for Ultra.

Don't get how ordering phone with Tmobile is better than getting an unlocked. Tried with S21 Ultra and they both give the same trade in value for $500. Am I missing something?
Maybe your ultra is more valuable to Samsung vs other lesser phones? My s22 plus is $400 through Samsung or $500 through tmobile. It's also giving me an unknown $115 additional through tmobile via the Samsung app. Thus making the s25 plus $385 all in.

Thanks. I just figured out that too. That's why OP mentioned S25 but not Ultra model as Samsung trade in value gives very little to S25. But once we pick S25 Ultra, the trade in gets much better... or something like your case. So this is good for people who has cheaper phones /models on hand.

Yep! I haven't pulled the trigger just yet. Don't really want a locked phone for 2 years but with satellite texting at our toes, I may just do it. I ride bicycles quite a bit and usually will toss a cheap att mvno esim on my phone for when I'm out of tmobile coverage. Never actually needed to use it, strictly for emergencies since I often have my son with me.

When getting to one of the final screens during the Samsung checkout where it shows you the T-Mobile payment plan, it's not showing the $500 discount reflecting the monthly payments. Has anyone else had this issue? Well this may be update once they receive the trade?

I'm on the Magenta Military and I get same thing. I guess it's considered a "government" account?? The only way to get it is to go through Tmobile. Lmk if anyone finds a way because I save an additional $45, $50 storage upgrade credit and activation fee is waived through Samsung site.

You get 65 dollar trade in value and the remaining 435 is amortization for 24 months. Since it's a credit the EIP agreement probably doesn't reflect it. But the order details does.

I have simple choice, but could not make it work.
At the point where it asks to provide t-mobile credentials, I get this error
"T-Mobile doesn't support your account type on Samsung.com. Please see the non-supported account types listed on the page. If you have an Individual account and believe you should not have received this error, you can contact T-Mobile Care to confirm/change your account type to supported type such as Individual – Regular and then return to Samsung.com. OR if you don't want to change your account type, please select T-Mobile device with Samsung offers and a payment option other than T-Mobile Equipment Installment program. Continue by starting over."
