Tmobile trade-in these days is useless. Go5G may get some benefits but if we can wait a little Samsung gives better price than TMobile. You will get it for less than $700 for Ultra without any trades unlocked.

24 months is better than 36 months other carries do now. However, I am absolutely sure I'll stay with them for 2 years when I have unlimited everything on 7 lines for $130/mo, not getting fleeced at all.

I would keep in mind that since the S23 series, Samsung deals haven't been as good. I kept track of S24U and even 2 weeks ago, it was on the FP of SD for ~$770.

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/1049727

In October 2024, there was a "popular" deal on SD for the regular S24 via Amazon and it was still $600:

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/1007514

The best deals on the Samsung website are for the Ultra and with EDU, so not everyone will qualify. The phone in OPs post is the regular S25.

Unless Samsung does something drastically different from the last 2 releases, I don't think the price will drop that much. It seems like they're trying more and more each year to be comparable to Apple in the US, which means keeping their prices at a "premium" level.

The days of upgrading at release for $100-$200 + freebies seem to be over, which is a huge bummer.

Don't fall for their trade in offer!!!

T-Mobile offered me $500 for my Galaxy S22 trade in and then 'revalued' it at $58!!! The phone was perfect, unlocked and fully functional.

T-Mobile is the new Verizon. Even this trade-in offer is terrible.

You could have gotten the S25 Ultra from BestBuy for $100 after trading in S24 Ultra, now that's a deal.

Or S25 Ultra from Google Fi without trade in, now that's also a deal.

I have a little older 55+ plan for $70. In order to get the $500 discount, I'd need to switch to a new plan. The newer plan is $5 more. Now it is the same except that it increases hotspot from 40GB to 50GB. For me and I'm betting 99.9999% of the people out there, that 10GB hotspot would not be a difference.

So, $500 discount and my plan is increased $5 for at _least_ 24 months. That is $120. So now that $500 is $380. The longer I keep that new plan, the more I end up paying.

Point... TM is really just trying to get people to switch to their more expensive plans. What are customers _really_ getting? Very little... except paying more.

The only real difference for me would be sat texting. However, it seems like I could probably just wait a year and buy the 25 for a_lot_ less and pay less monthly on my existing plan.

I'm on a legacy one plan with 4 lines.. Trying to get my wife's S21 upgraded to the S25... it's coming to 262$ (before taxes) and the 50$ samsung credit (which is really useless as i have all the gadgets i need.. not sure if i should wait for the price to come down since i'm paying close to 300 $ and getting sucked into 24 months credit and no phone unlock till then..

alternatively samsung unlocked offers very poor Trade in value Frown
I am in the same boat and I juat ordered Tmobile version. My S21 battery is getting weak and I don't see a better deal coming within the next few months. Samsung promotion hasn't been that great lately.

I was ready to pull the trigger but some comments have me thinking I should wait for a better deal. I'm on Magenta Military plan and phone deals very rarely come up for me. I've been wanting to upgrade from an S21. Thoughts?

That's not how FICO works, i.e. there's no preset points deducted that's set for everyone everytime there'sa credit check. So many other factors involve in their matrix.
