(I posted about this under a different thread but maybe it deserves its own thread

I'm thinking about upgrading my S22 to an S25+ and was pre-registered at Samsung, but there are no compelling deals there. Best Buy may have the most compelling offer, with an enhanced trade-in value of $400 for my S22 (only when upgrading to the S25+) and $100 BB GC (only when selecting 256 GB model).

A few pluses if you buy from BB vs. Samsung = save on sales tax as that's charged base on price AFTER trade in and also less headache with trade in = handover phone at pick up and done vs. mail in.

It's $599 but they give you a $100 BB card with s22 trade in. stating the obvious i guess 🤷

I'm curious for those who have done Samsung tradeins in the past: can you do a PC backup of the phone first to then later use the Samsung app to transfer and setup the new phone?

No need for PS. Everything is easy peezy with the Samsung Smart Switch app.

I also have S22 and S25/S25+ rear cameras are the same hardware as S22.

I only use my phone for taking pics/vids on vacations. Don't play any games, barely use any apps, don't do texting/social media/etc (yes call me a boring grandpa). So if your use case is like mine, it's not much of an upgrade.

Checkout price is $999 plus taxes. You have to pay that up front first before your trade.
