Thanks for posting OP...

It's too bad that NewEgg is continuing to hold prices of this software north of $20...

The least they could do, is like in past years, is couple this product with software that has a rebate, to drop the price well below the current asking price.

I will continue to hold off on purchasing, until the price comes down some more, as it has done in past years.

Rep's for the post and updates.

Under $20 or $35 with $20 gift card to some retail stores is where I will budge.

It's probably not gonna go down. Inflation went up a few dollars for this software.

The regular price went up by $10 from last year (59.99 vs 49.99). So I would not expect the same sale price as in year's past.

Can this be used to file 2 states? Or do I need to buy another state?
Looking at options for my student daughter who has to file NY and NJ taxes.

Officially you're supposed to buy two states, although there have been some suggested workarounds. It's $40 per additional state software download plus $20 per state for e-file (except in NY where e-file is free by law).

to clarify, this means to file state taxes the total price is 22.xx + 19.99 = $42+ ?

FYI. If you file for a state that doesn't accept eFile for nonresidents, you don't have to pay the $20.

If you are taking a credit in the resident state, for taxes paid in the non-resident state, you will have to prepare them as separate returns, the software cannot handle a resident state, along with a non-resident state and coordinate the tax credit.

10% increase is too high! This is preposterous! I will refuse to pay for a good deal even if it's the best I can get now. I will resist and maybe not even pay taxes because I am TRUE SLICKDEALER!!!!!!!!

I'm about ready to cave and just get it. But I'm not going to use any of these security packages, and would certainly never choose norton or mcafee... So which one gets the vote between bitdefender and malwarebytes? And not for technical or security reasons, but for best company, who pays their employees the best, do they have foosball and snacks in the break room? Which CEO has the coolest yacht? Which of these DESERVE to be my choice?
