They are positioned one pointing 90° left, one 45° left, one directly facing seating on left. Center is directly front of bar. Right mirrors the left. One Atmos speaker on top each side.
Then the surrounds each have 2 front facing speakers and one Atmos speaker.
Positions are 1 facing left, one facing directly behind towards bar, 1 Atmos facing up. Right mirrors left.
One subwoofer.
There you have it folks, an 11.1.4 sound bar with 15 actual speakers in 3 enclosures.
Like I said, you just gotta be smarter than the sound bar.
And I wasn't defending anything, just explaining to your birdness how there are actually all 11.1.4 speakers in there when the bird himself said there were 3.
Understand?
And you have clearly never heard this sound bar, it is one of if not the top rated sound bar out there. Like it or not, some folks need or just want a sound bar for either space constraints or aesthetics.
Either way, there are definitely positively 100% indubitably 15 speakers and a sub packed in this neat little package. And anyone with more than a bird brain knows that 15 is 12 more than 3, which is what you initially claimed genius. Now you are trying to make it about whether it sounds good or not.
No one cares if you think it sounds good (spoiler: it does sound good).

I have an 7.2.4 system downstairs, the amps and processor alone retail for $13k.
upstairs I have the Q950a which is a few generations prior. And guess what. IT WORKS GREAT FOR WHAT IT IS. Tv and sports are immersive. Dialog is clear.
When the kids want to watch encanto it sounds good and there's some overhead and surround effects. Sub digs low when corner loaded.
a $200 AVR from accessories4less and a theater in a box speaker package will not sound as good.
people who want a soundbar are interested in this product. And it's a great one for the price point.
The end.
- I started with their $30 sony 2.5inch surrounds plus center pack and $35 5inch sony bookshelf for fronts and later bought pioneer atmos upfiring for $100 a pair. And then slowly bought the matching pioneer for 100 a pair of bookshelves then bought a 2nd pair for 100 then center channel at 100 as well and for what it is. It is amazing.
- And granted if you have the ability to do direct cieling speakers then yeah nothing beats that if that's considered 100%, ok sure, but then up firing speaker quality depends on height of cieling. Distance of speaker and couch and if it's vaulted cieling and also height of started position of atmos upfiring. And even then at best 80% maybe 85% relative perceived quality of position, clarity and immersion. But no holes in the cieling for up firing.
- Now about sound bar. I upgraded to the q990c for 650 6 months ago. And let me tell you. This sucker blows the 5.1.2 pioneer setup out of the water. First of all, I don't see anyone mentioning that each side firing speaker and atmos upfiring all have cones shaping the sound after it exits the speaker itself. While hidden inside of the enclosures. You have to look up photos online.
- These are not regular upfiring. They are shaped to shoot right over your head and bounce off the cieiling. Same for the rear upfirings, same exact cone shape pattern. Then you have the "wide" speakers that are 90deg but guess what. They have cones shaped towards your backwards. What that means is your entire wall becomes a giant speaker on the sides of your tv. It's intense. It's bounce yet still immersive.
- Then you've got the "side" speakers which are 45 degrees facing. And yep u guessed it. Cones again. This time facing towards the couch. So it spreads the sound both at the side walls and towards the viewers directly on the sides of the couch. The same way the upfiring spreads to both the cieling and above your head. That's a special cone shape that does that.
- And additionally the "rear sides" also have cone shapes at 45deg facing towards the sides of your couch from behind yiu. And spread out against your side walls. Meaning yet again the cone helped spread the sound not just to the side walls from behind but also to the side of your couch.
- Someone please post a photo of these cones. This is what makes this series of speaker bars beyond just choosing between a $25k 11.1.4 vs a $1k 11.1.4, the sound is really there. And yes.... it can go really loud. But you don't need to. And yes tested with encanto. You don't even need to turn the subwoofer on and the music in that specific movie fills the room and sounds amazing. But I would turn the subwoofer on tho for the ooomf we all love.
If you guys want to keep being smart asses and nitpicking that comment go ahead.
A sub is technically considered a speaker too.
There are also single speakers that have muyltiple tweeters and woofers but that's still classified as 1 speaker.
nope never listened to the this specific soundbar in person but anyone that knows anything about home theater or audio in general knows that this claim of a 11.1.4 is far fetch'd and was my original point.
people can buy what they please, I truly don't give a fudge. but if I can help someone make an informed decision as I currently have 2 dms about piecing together a system and 1 actively going in this thread then great.
tldr; no way 3 boxes can simulate 15 speakers

My main complaint is the sub which is way under powered for my room size id love to be able to add a second one. But not having to have a receiver, speakers in the ceiling, cables run through the walls its pretty convenient. If i had a dedicated theater room again would i use a soundbar, no but that's not an option right now.
