Just so everyone knows, Starbucks recently changed their refill policy.
You're no longer entitled to free refills of cold brew - only hot coffee, iced coffee, iced tea and hot tea.
Their iced coffee is disgusting. 🤢
To receive free refills, customers must have their first beverage served in a ceramic mug, glass or a clean personal cup that the customer brings in.
I'm the biggest unslickdealer there is when it comes to Starbucks but even I stopped going recently. It's just too expensive.

Just to save people a click -

- Coupon will be in app for order ahead orders w/ app
- Mention offer if ordering in-store
- One time use but, as always, free refills if in-store

Good reminder, but, for clarification the free offer is only for hot or iced coffee.

So if u had a coffee before lunch and wanted a refill after lunch, carry the "first beverage served in" in your back pack in case you went to Chipotle for lunch? Does clean personal cup prove that you purchased it in the morning? Or Keep the receipt?

" biggest unslickdealer there is when it comes to Starbucks but even I stopped going recently. It's just too expensive" yes indeed! Little promos, too many points to redeem, prices are way too much! For $4 coffee, you can buy a gal of gas which will at least give you 30miles!

I cannot even begin to tell you the number of times I had to pull out my phone and very politely show them their own refill policy on the Starbucks website. It was maddening at times. I was always very polite and patient but it was annoying.

From my experience, they've cut back on free things dramatically.
Pure greed at this point. Making record profits during pandemic and then playing we're poor card to take away free stuff.

The free refill offer is only good during that visit, not all day. When you leave and return later in the day, it's a separate visit. Some servers might give you a refill anyway if you were there recently but it depends how strict they are.

That is what they all state. Ever since having an account with Starbucks, I have never seen a single offer.
They do offer the option to let your baristo/a do it for you though the app.
Most offers are targeted and don't last long. But this particular offer is for everyone.

But you used to be able to get a hot coffee (or any drink, actually) and then get a refill of cold brew.
Right, but you are missing my point -- I'm talking specifically about this upcoming offer for either a free hot or iced coffee. The offer doesn't included cold brew so the new refill policy has zero effect on this offer.

Quit complaining. You all wanted higher wages for their employees.

We need to complain because McD is able to serve a coffee for $1 or $1.50.
Why these guys want $4!

McD coffee is better than bitter SBucks coffee - but their rewards/point system sucks. Who cares points if the price is right.

Maybe SB gives a cup to customers to fill their cup with brewed coffee after charging and reduce the labor effort. There was a reason they have this free coffee - they no longer wants people in their store unless they are buying.

Superbowl is on the 9th. Most food places are running deals and Starbucks is just joining in.

The refill policy allowed you to get a cold brew refill no matter what your first drink was. With this deal, I could get a free hot coffee and then get a refill (an entirely differently drink) of a cold brew.
I would often get a shot of espresso because it was it cheap. Then I'd get a refill of cold brew.

All Starbucks around me are like McDonald's. Employees with stupid head sets serving drive through and place feels like a fast food chain. Drive through is another crazy thing people do. IMO, if you are in the car already, just brew your own coffee

Not sure what deal they had last year. But here is a list of deals restaurants are running this year:
