The non-metal parts degrade and crumble over time - I'm trying to get rid of mine.

Can someone suggest a long pair - 12" plus - that are all metal, suitable for outdoor grilling, and won't fall apart / rust away in a few months?

"The authors have admitted in their correction that levels of BDE-209 stated were about 10 times higher than they actually are." Basically heated black plastic is still bad, but not as bad as they said.

Also, aren't silicon and not plastic? Shouldn't be subject to these studies.
