Why would I want to wait a year to use my phone?

I'm confused. Why would you not be able to use the metro phone for a year? Wouldn't you be using it on metro's plan? Sorry if I sound a bit stupid, but what is the reason for everyone only paying one month for the Total Wireless plan and porting the number out so quickly? Then waiting for the unlock… without any service on it? Are you just taking the phone to a cheaper plan provider? Sorry again if I sound crazy or stupid.

First, you need to read the TOS on the Metro phone-I don't and can't think of a reason, to pay more per month at Metro.

Yes, I tried Paypal also, it charged my linked card and dropped the charge later, but the order placing never went through.

The problem with Total Wireless is if your account has been flagged, the flag doesn't seem to go away. Maybe your VPN was ON at one point and they flagged it? I would try and create a new account after cleaning browser cookies and cache or inside incognito session. Good luck!

Because you have others to use in the meantime after one month use.

Could someone guide me through the process of porting my Google Voice number to Total Wireless online? I attempted to activate a new line, but Google Voice isn't listed among the current providers. Their customer service hasn't been very helpful either.

They have a $30. plan. As a fyi, people are reporting unlocking at 6 months. Same as Cricket and T-Mo post and prepaid.

You're guarantying the unlock? Terms say $50 charge to downgrade plan.

If worried, don't then. I was not charged any amount with dropping down to their $30. plan.

This is my process
- create a GV then pay $3 to unlock the number.
- set up pass code for GV's voice mail
- bought iPhone 13 + $65 unlimited plan. Total $226
- when I receive the phone, I activate the phone via website, there will be no option for GV so select "Other carrier "
Account number will be the GV number
And the code for voice mail

Turn on the phone and it should automatic activate and have signal, and the process to complete port over is around 6hr to 2 days.
You should receive message and email to notified the process is complete.

Make sure you deactivate the autopay in the account . Then after 60 days it should automatic unlock.

Did anyone get it unlocked successfully?

I bought on Jan 23rd , stop paying after the first month and leave it in the drawer. By March 23rd it's automatic unlock.

Cool. Nice. So no texting for unlock and no calling any customer support
