Well, given that I bought this yesterday before it was posted here, I guess it deserves an upvote. This, I believe, is the newest version from Ryobi. It allows charging through the USB-c port on the back and generally has higher USB power than the previous versions. I wish they made this specific one with a 12v outlet as well.
18V 2ah is 36wh. Even without efficiency losses that would be over an hour to charge at 30w. Likely closer to 1.5hr after everything gets accounted for. If Gemini gave you 40min it's another strike against using Gemini.
Pretty sure the USBc port on the front is specifically for this

I own this. Can confirm that the USB C port can be used for output and to charge the attached battery. We use this exclusively for charging our Ryobi batteries and sold the standalone chargers.
why did you sell the stand alone?

I just realized.. On hybrid vehicles that use the 12v just to turn on the car's computer,
it could be used with a battery charger to start your vehicle when your 12v is dead..

to get it to turn on and let the traction battery take over and then the car charge the 12v.
like the volt, bolt, and prius.. among other models.

I still think 50 is a bit much for what it is.. but the C charging in both directions is cool..
I do look forward to buying one when I can get it cheaper

Not carried at any local stores... It's weird what Ryobi stuff they do or don't carry in stores. You'd think these would sell well in stores, but guess not.

Home Depot stores have the retail kit with 2Ah battery [homedepot.com] for $99.

This is a "bare tool" ("BT" in the model number) without battery for online sale only and most likely in a cardboard box, no fancy glossy retail packaging (which is a requirement for store items).

I'm positive that this is a modified sine wave output or else pure sine wave would have been mentioned all over the product description section.

Found in the Q & A that this outputs modified sine wave. Pass!

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank alm99

Just a heads up, a lot of these fail overtime, they will no longer stay on after pushing the power button. With this unit you have to hold power button for a few seconds to turn it on and off. Eventually it will get to a point where it will only work if you hold the power button down making it useless. Ryobi replaced mine and the replacement did the same thing after a few months.

I put a review on the Home Depot website about the failure. They agreed to warranty the unit and as part of replacement they made me agree to allow them to remove the 1 star review.

my sister would have love that last year when she was stranded in Chicago. for two days, none of the Superchargers around her were available. eventually she had had her 3 towed to the service center for a recharge. She should have listened to me and bought something else becuase her high-rise condo did not have EV charging in the underground garage Frown )

oh, wait.. I just realized that you were kidding... there's no way that a 2A Ryobi battery can possible provide enough charge, even if it's to move a totally dead model 3? Frown
Hah... yes I was kidding.

Why couldn't your sister have just plugged into any other charger or even a regular power plug? That's the beauty of EVs... electricity is is literally everywhere.

Agreed! I'd bet there's some regular 120v outlet in that garage. It's slow but enough overnight charge to get you to a fast charger... I used to get 1% an hour on my 100kw Model X. For 2 years before installing a charger, that's all I had.

Wow, that's disturbing. I had one fail also and called and they sent me a replacement that has been working fine. Since it was the model with battery they sent me the whole package replacement.

I like the dual (C and A) USB wall charger that comes with this and use for other things regularly.
