This seems to be a great deal for those already in the Bosch system, or planning to enter into it. I'm already invested in DeWalt and don't want to get into another battery platform. This saw will need a larger more expensive battery to operate. I'll probably be waiting for the corded version to go on sale before pulling the trigger. Thanks for posting.

I have the corded version from the last SD sale last November. This cordless version seems better as it has a laser guide.

Seems like a good deal. But all these saws seem to be about 60 pounds. I recently bought the Lowes DOTD De Walt saw & stand combo. I injured my back removing the boxes from the car, & when my back heals I'm returning them. Agreed that once out of the boxes, they'll be easier to schlep-around, but... Any suggestions in lighter weight saws -- either 12" or 10"?

Go with a 10" if you want something lightweight. I believe the deal for the Bosch CM10GD corded 10" miter saw is $439 at Acme Tools, but you might want to check the weight. This Bosch 12" is definitely heavy. It is heavier than the DeWalt 60V. The slide mechanism is what I want where I can have it stationary up against the wall and not have to worry about the slide hitting the wall.
I have the Makita 36V 10" miter saw and it seems manageable. It's lighter than the DeWalt 12" but still 2-handed to carry.
My Milwaukee M18 7 1/4" is one hand portable but it is not as capable or powerful as my DeWalt.
I would recommend the Makita 10" 40V miter saw if you want lightweight and portable 10"

Note that the miter saw does not come with a cutline.

As nice as it is, shadow line is the way to go when time is a factor.

I added shadow line to my GCM12SD plug in 12" saw. Cost about $25 and an hour of my time

Thanks-- The 10" Bosch is 64 lbs, so not really better than the DeWalt. Makita XGT GSL03M1 is 60 lbs with battery. I guess I could carry it around without the battery & save about 3 pounds... But I think I might be stuck with the heavy saw and just need to work-out more.
