Not this chair, but one similar to it (Colamy 5188). If this chair is anything like mine, you'll notice that it is comfortable, and has comfort features the Aeron doe not. I think prefer sitting in my Colamy chair over the Aeron.
But my Aeron was made in 1998. I've been using it since 2009, ~45 hours a week for 16 years. I've had to replace the armrest screws and the cylinder, but aside from you wouldn't know the chair is 27 years old. That's why you buy Aeron.
A chair like Flexispot, I'm sure it will hold up for a few years, but it won't have Herman Miller longevity.

The other main draw was locking the recline to where one would like, but not only is it hard to reach the knob to turn, the footrest hardware is in the way
It is actually ridiculous how it was designed.
Also the armrest move at the slightest pressure. You can't push the chair out from under you without moving them out of the position you set.
