The GV will initially show ok but then not go through.
People have been using $5 Visible lines ($25 - $20 referral code for first month).

Yes, it will show Verizon. You need phone number, account number, port-out PIN and ZIP. Text FOUR to 611611 and the four digits should match the last four of your phone IMEI/Account number (15-digit). The ZIP code is the one you entered when you activated the phone (for a new number, or you can check it by logging into your account on a browser). Text NTP when you're ready to buy iP13/port-out to get your 4-digit PIN.

Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can buy through Metro again? I bought a similar deal last fall (for the iPhone 12), then just didn't renew the monthly plan.

EDIT: I guess Metro doesn't have much of a time limit between when letting your account expire and placing new orders because I just placed an order for this ip13 and it's only been about 3-4 months since I let my previous metro plan expire. Also, I placed the order just minutes after creating a visible account and porting that new visible number over to metro.

Didn't work for me. First 2 times I called, rep transferred me to porting as soon as I told them I needed to port in a line. Port department can't order the phone so that was a dead-end.

Final time I called, rep said her system shows $150 for add-a-line. I said it's an error because the website promo says the $0 offer applies to both add-a-line and new line. But she couldn't help.

No, the phone agent wouldn't let me get more iPhones for the $35 "add a line" price, only the $75 "new line" price

I just ordered the iphone by calling (as online kept showing $150 due to a possible glitch).

If I want another phone under the same account, do I need to wait for the phone to be delivered so that I can create an account and add another line with this deal?

I understand I can order another one in my wife's name. Trying to do it under the same account if possible (assuming the deal is still active in another 4 days).

When I did a similar deal before they wouldn't let me port out during the first 30 days. I would have had to pay for a second month just to port my number out so I lost it. From my experience you are better off porting in a new / throw-away number if you want to avoid Metro holding your number hostage.

Looks like GV doesn't work anymore, but the Visible trick seems solid. Anyone tried porting from a cheap prepaid plan instead?

I ported out of Metro just fine last week back into Xfinity mobile the same carrier I ported into Metro from no problem. I hope the person is mistaken about issues porting out within 30 days like I recently did since I intend to Port back to Xfinity mobile again within metro 30 days

I mean iPhone 11 supports eSIM...you could get an iPhone 11 eSIM. You could use the IMEI from your iPhone 11, and install the app and set up the number on your iPhone 11. The whole point of this process that the thread is about is to keep a number temporarily with Visible for at most 4-5 days until you port it to the Metro phone after it arrives. Or, you could order a physical SIM card using the IMEI of your iPhone 6s and wait a few extra days for the Visible SIM to arrive, and set up the Visible number on your iPhone 6s. Up to you.

It's nice to have a backup iPhone 13 (soon) that could be used for intermediate numbers like one from Visible.

No they don't. I told him my order doesn't go through online for a lot of tries. He told me it must be I ordered too much. He said in this case the only way is to open another account. I asked if the system will allow multiple accounts at same address he said 100% positive. He doesn't even bother to ask me the current account number and send verification code. Just ask my name, email, address and CC then place the order for me.
