The GV will initially show ok but then not go through.
People have been using $5 Visible lines ($25 - $20 referral code for first month).

Yes, it will show Verizon. You need phone number, account number, port-out PIN and ZIP. Text FOUR to 611611 and the four digits should match the last four of your phone IMEI/Account number (15-digit). The ZIP code is the one you entered when you activated the phone (for a new number, or you can check it by logging into your account on a browser). Text NTP when you're ready to buy iP13/port-out to get your 4-digit PIN.

Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can buy through Metro again? I bought a similar deal last fall (for the iPhone 12), then just didn't renew the monthly plan.

EDIT: I guess Metro doesn't have much of a time limit between when letting your account expire and placing new orders because I just placed an order for this ip13 and it's only been about 3-4 months since I let my previous metro plan expire. Also, I placed the order just minutes after creating a visible account and porting that new visible number over to metro.

i see people are able to order the phone with just paying for the plan by using visible numbers, or other carriers. I tried both visible and AT&T main numbers but the price of the phone changed when checking out. This just happened in the last couple days. up until 10 minutes ago i still have the same problem.
tried on phone, on desktop, logged in account, not logged in account... anyway i can think of and still the same problem.
i had my family tried on theirs and still the same issue. how is it some of you guys can order with the correct amount for the phone $0 with port in ?
i understand that the response to this thread is delayed. it is Feb 20th, 2025 at11:58pm EST as I am sending this post.

Ordered the 13, it arrived. Then ordered the A9+ tablet. Couldn't order more, my account said I couldn't add any more lines (presumably while I was waiting for the A9+ to show up and be activated).

A9+ arrived, I activated it, and seconds later I can now order another 13 ($35 plan with port) or A9+ ($20 no port). I'll try to buy another, not sure which yet.

When I had trouble ordering a second line today, I did look into the A9+ tablet. It states on the web page that the discount is only for accounts that have been active at least 30 days. "Discount applies to customers with 30+ days of service." Perhaps you mentioned it in one of your earlier posts, and may be relevant to many who are on this thread.

Yes, I had to press the back button at the point mentioned, and I got past that part, but still had an issue when trying to finalize the order.

Now I'm getting an error, Sorry we are experiencing technical issues, on the page to enter the account number, port-out PIN, and billing ZIP code.

ETA: just was able to get past that, but got stuck again at the point of finalizing the order.

Does anyone think that waiting 24 hours after the last failed attempt would increase my chances of the order going through?

When your port (purchase) didn't go through for 4 times, the system will block your number temporarily (for a couple of hours or a day). You have several options:

  1. wait for the block to be lifted
  2. call Metro port department to unblock/reset the number
  3. ask visible to assign you a new number (if your number is from visible) and retry

That's likely because your internet IP has been flagged by Metro. You can use a VPN or use your cellular data to give a try.

I am unable to order the tablet without it giving me an error that I need to call customer support. Why the heck won't the tablet order go thorough?

Thanks. The last time I called the guy said that I couldn't get a second line for $35 (at all), and that I had to create a brand new account for $75. He also tried to tell me that the only way I could get the deal was by ordering over the phone with a rep (I did dial the proper Metro number), and that I couldn't order the phone online. He was clearly intentionally misleading, I don't see the reason he was. I'll just try tomorrow, and if it's still giving me an error, I'll call then.

Once you received the phone, and hit the "activate now" button in the email, it should start the transfer process.
