The GV will initially show ok but then not go through.

Yes, it will show Verizon. You need phone number, account number, port-out PIN and ZIP. Text FOUR to 611611 and the four digits should match the last four of your phone IMEI/Account number (15-digit). The ZIP code is the one you entered when you activated the phone (for a new number, or you can check it by logging into your account on a browser). Text NTP when you're ready to buy iP13/port-out to get your 4-digit PIN.

Do I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can buy through Metro again? I bought a similar deal last fall (for the iPhone 12), then just didn't renew the monthly plan.

EDIT: I guess Metro doesn't have much of a time limit between when letting your account expire and placing new orders because I just placed an order for this ip13 and it's only been about 3-4 months since I let my previous metro plan expire. Also, I placed the order just minutes after creating a visible account and porting that new visible number over to metro.

Has anyone who has Tracfone been able to get it to work? I've tried over and over again, with 3 different phone numbers. None of them work. They all finally say something went wrong. I've tried calling in and have a rep place it, but it failed that way also. I have done the FOUR and confirmed which is the Account number. I've done the NTP to get the port code. I've confirmed my zip code. I've used different email addresses. Nothing has allowed me to place an order.

Not sure if this the exact error you are encountering but there is a trick when doing an order that involves a port in from tracfone/straighttalk where after you get whatever port in failed popup u hit the X, enter the exact same info again, may require hitting the back button if the fields are not on the same page, then continue again and it goes through. I know the full steps are posted in one of the recent iPhone 12 metro deals.

I had this problem as well. So I contacted TracFone's porting department and verified the info was correct. TracFone guy said the port was authorized on their side. Called Metro CS to order again, and told them the issue. They got TracFone's porting department on the line and got it to go through. It's a pain, but I'm still going to do the same for a second line. Then I'll probably get a 3rd with an Edge 2024 and a new #. I already have an Edge from Total and absolutely love that phone.

whats been people's expereience with Android phone as 2nd or 3rd phone unlocking? I think I saw less than 12 months (vs. iphone) but need data points from those that have done it. (Got the A9 tablet and the Moto Stylus coming) thanks

What is Tracfone porting line? If you have that, could you provide it? Will need to give it to Metropcs.
