Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

Was able to confirm Costco MM gets $100 per line provided we haven't got a Costco card or activated the account in Costco within the last 1 year.
Also almost every store has zero inventory so it will be shipped and so trade-in phone has to be shipped, cannot be handed in-store.
edit: sorry folks after buying the phones got to know it is only $75 for MM even in Costco. Lesson learned don't trust the agents what they say verbally.

I saw it on the T-Mobile website, after logging in and selecting trade in promotion on iPhone 16. I didn't go through with it due to extra $35 cost.
Others recommended doing it at Costco /Sam's club that waive $35 and give $75 gift card.
