Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

No, that is the problem. They only unlock once you pay off. Credits stop if you pay off early, unlike before.
That's what it showed me on the app when I checked with my magenta military account.
