Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

Still active on t-mobile.com. Either test upgrading on t-mobile.com or check if your SOC is on the 48 page qualifying list [sprintswac.tk].
Costco requires IMEI in order to process the trade in. You could ask the seller for the IMEI and see if they can provide that to you before it delivers. It's ymmv on whether the store rep will want to also have it physically verify the trade in device. One store said they are by "law" required to verify the device physically in hand and wont just accept me giving the IMEI. So i just went to another costco and the tmobile rep manager took my IMEI no problem without needing to see my trade in device that im still waiting on delivery for.

I could get $170 for my iPhone 12 from the Apple store. I'm really only saving $435 from T-Mobile since they charge $35 connection fee and $30 more for the phone. So it's $265 difference for a locked iPhone for 24 months.
