You can go thru Costco or Sams club if youre a member. Saves you the $35 fee and you can earn up to a $100 gift card for upgrading.

Seems like Simple Choice does qualify and gets you up to $500 trade in value.
Unfortunately t mobile charges $30 extra on phones (apple sells ip16 for 800 and t mobile for 830.
T mobile also asked for $35 connection charge.
This extra $65 surcharge makes it less appealing ☹️

Correct they won't give that upfront tradein device credit until they process your tradein and approve it. But they will do the monthly credit ASAP, assuming your tradein device you specified when you ordered. Regardless you WILL get that upfront credit once they approve your tradein.

This is way better than a few years ago when they only give you your monthly credit (and upfront device tradein credit) after they process and approve your tradein which can take upward of 2 to 3+ months.
Thank you very much! I guess I just have to wait then. It's just that there is no documented evidence of $150 one-time credit anywhere except the costco rep saying that on phone and knowing T-mobile from past experience, it's something risky if they accept trade-in and say the value is $350 credit over 24 months as stated in contract and not $500. Unfrotunately I did not record the conversation with costco either.

Taking closer look at ID250204 on https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/p...er-details it says plan should be $60 or higher and I am on kickstart unlimited paying only $15 a month so on the edge a bit.

------

Apple Trade ID250204
Promo Code: R074
Start Date: February 14, 2025
Credit: up to $20.84/mo. for 24 months

Contact us before cancelling entire account to continue remaining bill credits, or credits stop & balance on required finance agreement is due (e.g., $829.99 – iPhone 16 128GB). Bill credits end if you pay off device early. Tax on pre-credit price due at sale. Limited-time; subject to change. Qualifying credit, plan ($60+/mo. w/AutoPay) & trade-in (e.g., Save $500: iPhone 11 Pro / Save $250: iPhone 6) required. Trade-in terms and conditions apply. $35 device connection charge due at sale. Up to $500 via bill credits; line with promo must be active and in good standing to receive credits; allow 2 bill cycles. Max 4 discounted devices/account. May not be combinable with some offers or discounts.

Purchase a eligible Apple iPhone on a monthly payment plan, trade-in an eligible phone on most plans, and save up to $500 via one-time trade-in and monthly bill credits.

time is winding down and these Ebay sellers are grumpy. I've asked a few for any water damage or cracks on the screen and/or dead pixels and they all say to read the description.
not every single description mentions water damage or cracked screens

it's hard to just tell from the pictures that they have
If time is more important to you and you can afford to pay a little extra, try the ebay listings that state T-Mobile TRADE IN PROMO ONLY [ebay.com]. You pay a little bit more ~$125 for the assurance that the trade-in will meet T-mobile's trade-in requirements. Before you buy, look for:
1) S10E or S10 at minimum
2) Free returns
3) Message seller first to confirm they will message you the IMEI immediately once you buy.

I did for one phone because it wasn't on my T-Mobile account already. It was a 6s plus. For the phones that were already on my T-Mobile account I didn't have to give the number as it's already on file.
6s plus get you only $415 instead of $830 right? I keep reading people turning in older phones and sounds like they are getting th $830 deal. But the main page says 6s gets only $415. Could someone confirm?

Are there advantages to taking the phones to trade-in in store vs mailing it in? I did have a situation on a previous trade-in via mail when they said my device was not in good condition but it was. It was a pain to get resolved and I got a one time credit thankfully. But I've also heard of horror stories where a trade-in in store was lost or never sent in by the employee

be sure you get a receipt from the tmobile employee in store. try to be sure it's a corporate store

I usually hand them in store.

if you will ship them out, be sure you put it in a box and not just a padded envelope

For in store tradein, just ask them to give you a receipt that shows the device was approved / traded in. One thing not to do is record the process for proof. Lol, I did that and they gave me an earful, saying it's illegal

Tmo trade-in with back broken is fine. it cannot have a broken front screen, no water damage, no blocked imei.
I tested and found for the new customer, it is fine for the crack front screen this time.
But not work for existing magenta max account.

I'm about to pull the trigger on this deal but something is off. I have a 13 pro max trade in. It says I'll get $830 for it. But when you start the check out process you only see the base $250 credit mentioned. Waiting for live chat to be available.

That's because used is about 200-250$

Shouldn't matter for MM accounts. They only look at no screen damage, no water damage and no imei blocks. For Next accounts, there is a different promo for any condition phones.

If I hand my iphone 13 in store, do they apply the $150 one-time trade-in credit immediately to my T-Mobile account in store after verifying condition?

Also how to know if store is corporate store? Does search on T-mobile website give me corporate store only? TIA
