How would this do as a monitor?
Fantastic. I've been using a 48" CX (not much different than this one) since Feb '21 and work 25+ hours per week from home with no issues whatsoever. I even bought an LG service remote to disable to automatic dimming on mine a while back and have seen no signs of burn in.

I have it calibrated quite nicely because I also do photo/video editing on it in my spare time and it is holding up great. I'm close to 3k hours total on it I believe.

I use Fancy Zones that's part of PowerToys and split the screen up into 16 zones so that I can use it like 4 separate monitors. Would recommend doing this as well.

Awesome monitor. Large size is not for everyone. Many people like to sit closer to monitor. Better for eyes if you are further away.

Killer price. Wish this was 50" and not 48" so I could replace my 50" TV without taking a hit in size. I wonder why they didn't use a standard size for this model.

I got one yesterday and had to do a PM for today. This pairs perfectly with the PS5. Ticks all the boxes. Even has Nvidia g-sync! Something that only premium gaming monitors have.

i got it for $550 2 weeks ago. haven't opened it yet, but I'm planning on returning it. I think I need a 55" TV. is 48->55" a huge difference to anyone?
I originally purchased the 48" but ended up returning it for the 55". The 48" was decent, but the 55" turned out to be the perfect size for my bedroom setup.

Just got it priced matched from two weeks ago, this was the price I expected it to reach when I held out during BF.

I would say 31% more area is significant.

I doubt you'll even notice the difference. If you're coming from something non-OLED (or even a few years old), you'll probably be happier with this at 48" and 2" isn't much when it comes to shift in ideal viewing distance/etc.

How many 50" OLED's do you see out there? 48" is standard for this type tech. And like the other person just said you'll be happy. 55" would end all doubt and hit a universal size.

They were duplicate posted deals. That is how SD deals with them. They and all their comments get moved to the OP as comments of the first one posted.

They merged the threads... just to avoid duplicates in the deal pages.
