Need to extract Meta data from PDF file

Does anyone know a free program that can extract Meta data from a pdf file. I'm sick of going around and around with my homeowners insurance company & my gut says that they manipulated the file from the adjuster before they sent it to me. If I can extract the proof, I've got a case against them. (I saw the adjuster measure the rooms and yet these big rooms with lots of floor and crown molding just mysteriously disappeared from my report.) I've already asked the adjuster and he said I have to contact my insurance company. Please help!

You can view the metadata by looking at the properties of the pdf file. In Foxit you simply go to the File menu and select 'Properties.' Guessing most pdf software is similar, it should be very easy to find in any program.

That said, unless someone enabled 'Track Changes' along the way, you're not going to see anything that helps you if I understand what you are alluding to...

So I wouldn't be able to see the last person that modified the report by looking at the meta data?

No. But why not follow the simple instructions and you can see for yourself what data is available?

If the report does not match what the actual items and damage are you should contact whatever state agency controls insurance companies where you live. There was a story about insurance companies changing what the adjusters included in their reports.
