I just applied and got denied with an 820 credit score but with over 30 cards and 0 debt
Cons: Customer service is not as consumer friendly as Chase or Amex
$250 travel credit has to be spent through their terrible portal, which is just a Hopper re-skin and routes reservations through 3rd parties (my last was an Expedia reservation). Most costs for the portal are higher than if you have an account with 3rd party sites like Booking, Agoda, or Priceline and CapOne will NOT match a logged-in price. There is no telephone customer service for booking.

Pros: Eno vendor specific CC numbers with number cancellation and holds are great for online signups
2 points per dollar spent and direct reimb. for travel using points at 1pt=1c is essentially a 2% cash back card if you travel
No foreign tx fees (for those who travel internationally)

If you travel a little, it's a good card. If you travel more than 3-4 times a year, especially if your preferred airport has a CapOne lounge, the VentureX is a better product to have ($395AF), but this is a good stop gap with a solid bonus.
What's in MY wallet? Too many cards. That's what CapOne tells me every time when they hard-pull all three bureaus to deny me with 800+ FICO.

I'm up for my AF, if I want to convert my Venture card to Quicksilver, how much each mile converts as cash back? TIA.

To anyone with this card, chime in on its usefulness if you don't really travel a whole lot?
This has been my main card for several years now. We do not travel often (we mostly camp) but twice now I have been able to use my miles to completely offset the cost to fly my wife and I to Europe and back. I like to let my miles accumulate until I have enough to help make a big vacation more affordable (2-3 years in-between). Its an easy way to "save" for vacations in my mind.

One note here. You can absolutely redeem miles as a statement credit against travel related charges with a ratio of 1:1. You don't have book travel through Capital One. You just charge whatever travel related charge you have (hotel, flight, car, etc) and you use their app/website to apply miles to that purchase and take it off your statement. Pretty flexible, you might be surprised at how much they consider "trave" related. I think I used it to remove charges at UPS once before.
This is correct. I just redeemed my 75,000 miles ($750) along with the other miles I accumulated and applied them to an existing hotel booking. I was pleasantly surprised that I could use the miles for a recent purchase even before my statement closed. After applying all the miles I earned from my bookings and purchases, my credit card statement was credited with over $850 within a day. No need to wait to use your miles up but best bang for you buck is to use them towards a recent large booking.

Approved for the card, but with a $2000 credit limit. It will take forever to get the sign up bonus at this rate. Is there an option to cancel and remove the hard inquiries on the credit reports ?

Capital One has always denied me. I've got over 800 score, no debt, but like have had 60 cards. They don't like people with many for whatever reason

How long it takes to get the extra $250 credit after applying or approved? Need to make some travel booking soon?

Sweet, was waiting for this. Do you know if we can get referral bonus too for this like in Venture X?

My wife referred me and she got the referral bonus as soon as I signed up, and it showed I would get the $250 SUB

Anyone has any problems, transferring cap1 one reward miles to flying blue or Aeroplan program as there are numerous users on Reddit posting that for whatever reason, even if the name is exactly as shown on Capital One portal, it always gives an error of username mismatch

Im considering getting away from the Chase family (Sapphire reserve, Freedom, Freedom Unlimited). Honestly, if it wasnt for the Hyatt relationship, which I use a lot, I would be out of there. But in the last 3 months, I have booked 12 nights that would have cost me at least $400/night for no more than 18k points a night.

I fly 1-2x a year with no loyalty to airlines, do short trips 2-3 times a year, with one being to a non Hyatt resort, but also prefer AirBnB since have 3 young kids. CC spend is probably $10k/mo, so points can accumulate pretty quickly (thanks daycare!!!).
