for example, I had an iPhone 12 from a metro deal that was supposed to take 1 year to unlock. A user from this forum mentioned that it should still unlock in 6 months. I restarted the phone and it would still show carrier locked.
I had to reset the iPhone 12 and then it showed no sim restrictions.
