My machine just recently updated to Windows.24H2 update. After this update, the machine no longer comes out of sleep mode by touching the keyboard or mouse. It seems this is a common problem across many brands (HP, Gateway etc). I researched this, and some said to update the bios. I reached out the Gateway, and they said there is no update for the Bios, even though mine has a 2021 bios. The gateway customer service rep offered me two chip updates, but she gave no information about them (Sent me 2 Zip files). And she said, if that doesn't work, reset your machine. I am skeptical to install updates to the graphics and chips from a Gateway rep that I have no information on, and I have to accept her updates blindly. I checked Microsoft and here is the instructions Link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-...a3d6246d7e
Is there anybody in this group who could advise me how to proceed? I don't want to reset the whole machine. Likewise, I would like to just update the bios and try that first. Thanks in advance for your help!

Start at the Gateway support site for that specific model notebook. Should be able to download / confirm the latest BIOS and drivers.

If a new BIOS is available, start there.

Next download and install any chipset driver updates.

Then check the rest of the list and see if anything else has newer versions...

I talked to Gateway customer service, and they said, there's no update for the bios, and she didn't lead me to any page for support of my machine with ANY updates. She sent me a link for graphics update and update for the chip set. But there's no info on it at all, I'm skeptical about installing it even though it was from the Gateway rep, not knowing any info about it? Many people bought these Gateway Laptops, So I thought they would be having the same problems with the new Windows update 24H2. That's why I started the thread, I tried putting it in the original thread of the Gateway laptop deal, but slickdeal's said the thread was too old. I'm not that tech savvy except by user experience.
