Imo, if you're looking at this because you're in an apartment... If you have at least a small back patio, enough to put a small table or something, I would 100% get a ninjawoodfire grill instead for much less money that will also do more. If not, then totally get this GE.

A lot of apartments specifically have rules against anything wood, pellet, or charcoal fired, many don't even allow propane.

Then by the rules, they wouldn't be allowed to have this GE either unless they sneak it. But realistically they're just following fire codes, which is why they allow electric grills and smokers, which the ninja woodfire grill and GE smoker are. The pellets are just flavor infusers. It's the heat source that is the issue.

That's the point of something like the GE, it's a lot easier to hide, doesn't blow out smoke, can easily fit in a box in a closet if they're going to be doing an inspection.

edit: plus a lot places don't allow ANYTHING that produces smoke, even electric, they basically only allow what amounts to an electric griddle or George Foreman on a stand.

I've never lived in one that allowed a smoker of any kind, all of them have banned anything but what's basically an electric George Foreman grill on a stand, but most I've ever lived in or looked at possibly moving into, banned all smokers of all types, even electric.

The heat source isn't the only thing banned dude, we were talking about them banning smokers as well as other heat sources, I've never seen a place that bans charcoal, wood, and pellet grills and doesn't ban ALL types of smokers.

a George Foreman and a smoker that produces smoke aren't the same thing, again, you're obviously either trolling, or your so deeply insecure you can't admit when you're wrong so you're bs'ing like you're life depends on it. I have this and while the smoke flavor is not as strong as my traditional smoker it is still pretty good and so much easier to clean and use.
