I think you were probably down voted because most people buying a receiver of this quality are primarily concerned with the sound and not as much with an outdated looking UI. I couldn't care less about the menu if it sounds good.

Is there a comparison with A6A ? I know they use diff DAC chip. Would it make a noticeable difference?
A6A uses ESS ES9026Pro DAC for the main channels and ES9007 for others.

The A4A uses only the ES9007 DAC.

Good luck telling them apart in a DBT!

Or really hearing a difference in any of the Asian AVR's without room correction engaged, In my opinion

I say buy on specs/capability and room correction for the price point

Yep. I have the Costco version (TSR-700) of the V6A. Tempted by the A4A, but don't really want to wrestle it into my cabinet. Probably would need to cut the back out.
I have a Yamaha AX-R1020. She's a right beaut if a little lacking in modern features, but it's pretty big. I've cut the back out of 2 different cheap TV stands that had 1/4 thick (if that thick) backing. Just measured and made it precise. From the front, you'd never ever know. It doesn't stick out the back far either. Maybe a bit of a pain, but flawless looking finish from the front.
