Deal HistoryÂ

I was thinking about purchasing this through Newegg and posting the deal here, but seeing mixed reviews about the seller 6th Ave Electronics selling returned or open items. Decided to go with Amazon Resale. They have 6 remaining "Like New" units for $343. Figured I'd give it a shot. You have to scroll all the way down the "other options" list to find it.
It should be noted that the 3rd party seller is 6Ave (6th Avenue). They have been known to deal in the gray market and had a not so good reputation in the past. I don't know if things have changed since the ownership and name change though. Panasonic does not have an online list of approved dealers so I was not able to verify if 6Ave is an authorized dealer or not. I saw this deal earlier last week and was going to post it until I saw who the seller was and looked into them.

In before "just use your Xbox/PS5" comments.
I'd put "Panasonic DP-UB820" in the title so people know which model the deal is for.
I was able to get mine on Amazon last year for $350 but $370 is still good. Getting prices this low or lower for this player isn't common and I wouldn't hold my breath for any massive price drops in the near future, especially with tariffs being in the air. If you've been looking to get this, I'd jump on the deal.

I'm not saying this is good or bad deal. I need education. I prefer to own the media and don't have the bandwidth to download. I own an older Pioneer blueray with upconversion. My question is how the Panasonic may be better.

I would also like to throw caution into the wind regarding this seller. I was looking for a deal on this exact dvd player a couple of weeks ago, I just can't remember the specifics for caution.
If anyone is interested in an alternative method of savings for this dvd player, you can buy $400 in Amazon gift cards (currently discounted at 11.7%) at GCX (app only, and formerly known as Raise). There should also be a discount code available somewhere online to be used at GCX checkout for additional savings.
I bought this dvd player brand new a few weeks ago on Amazon for $364, after tax, using the above method and an additional 3% off discount code. At the time, it was listed on Amazon for $394 (currently $389).

I wish I would have researched the seller more but I have been on the fence for too long and had to pull the trigger. My projector has dolby vision so I am excited to see how this is going to look.

Which projector? projectors generally aren't bright enough for Dolby vision. Even high end jvc n Sony don't support it
