The "deal" here is awareness of Xfinity Mobile fraudulent billing practices and what to do if victimized.
Today alone I received 30 harassing phone calls and text messages after filing a complaint online with the FCC and the state regulators who ordered a refund totaling $1,300 for a phone which was never delivered, invalidationof a "trade-in scam", the ordered unlocking of my illegally locked BYOD phone and illegal "cramming" to higher monthly plan costs not agreed to or disclosed. Xfinity Mobile wasted no time putting me in collections after my bank issued a charge-back for non-delivery.
**Don't merely dispute bank charges for non-receipt and don't close your Xfinity account or port out until the FCC or state regulators force Xfinity Moblie to issue refunds. Otherwise your credit will be damaged.
Do not allow Xfinity Mobile to consume hours of your time forcing repetition on the phone followed by false promises to issue credits which will never appear unless the regulators intervene. .
"We couldn't issue you a credit until the phone was returned to our warehouse and examined for damages"!!! B.S. If you refuse delivery and especially did so on the advance advice of a manager who admitted that you were misled on the "promo" then you are NOT responsible for any undelivered goods which are claimed to have been damaged while in the hands of their carrier, an unlikely situation in any case with a sealed package returned as undelivered. You have proof of refusal and proof that the phone is sitting in their warehouse for two weeks with no credit issued. B.S.!
The Xfinity Mobile Scam is a come-on to receive a "free phone upgrade" for being an "Xfinity Platinum Rewards subscriber". "Just pay $88 in taxes today sales tax and receive a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE". That quickly morphed into cramming with a $10 / month "service plan up-grade" ( no cell signal at my house anyway ). and attempted theft of my BYOD fully owned device which had been on a contract-free plan with Xfinity Mobile for years. Xfinity Mobile fraudulently placed the undelivered phone in my account and charged my card on file for the first of 24 payments of $27 knowing full well that this phone was in their warehouse.
Call the corporate and get an "escalation number". When phoned by the "resolution executive" tell them you are too busy to talk, request an email. (2) Download from the carrier the proof of undelivered item and the second "proof of delivery returned to warehouse showing time, location and who signed for it. Reply with DEMAND in the subject line attaching proof and your FCC Complaint. Refuse to talk with them from that point forward (3) Demand a cessation to phone calls and collection efforts.
---- end Feb 27 edit
Xfinity Mobile introduced new never before seen terms on my order for handset upgrade with trade in. Do not assume that your prior experience reflects current policy. I report what I am experiencing not knowing what the final resolution will be.
- clicking on "trade in" creates an irreversible transfer of title according to Xfinity employees even if you fail to send it in, whether or not that is true
- refusing delivery no longer cancels the order; according to Xfinity employees there will be no return credit. The refused phantom handset is listed as active on the account, $650 owing and past due , 24 x $28 monthly payments "contract".
- Xfinity has taken ownership of my fully owned S10+ by sim-locking it without warning and displaying it in "My devices" as Xfinity property with $650 past due and owing on it. 24 payments of $28 are due according to them
I report my experience with snapshots. I am disputing with FCC and state PUC complaints. I can't know the outcome. edit : FCC and state regulator ordered a refund.

'corporate escalation". After two weeks I learned to save my breath and hang up on them. Just say no to Xfinity Rewards. Save yourself the grief.
----
Go settings > Connections. If your Xfinity Rewards has been successfully applied then "Mobile Networks" will now be grayed out on your phone indicating that Xfinity has sim-locked your previously owned phone.
If you are unsure why you have received this reward then you may dial 611 for a lengthy and entertaining explanation on how Xfinity obtained title to your phone to safeguard it and why your balance increased by $1300.
You may request that the installment plan be reinstated if you can't pay the $1,300 in full and your line is at risk for suspension.
See attached snapshot of my devices in Xfinity account. Xfinity has grabbed the BYOD phone , locked it with 23 payments to go. The never delivered never-received S24 FE phone is also added to to account by Xfinity The Xfinity Reward is a balance-due increase of $650+$650=$1300 which is "past due"
Look carefully. Two phones pictured in "my devices" each having 23 payments due totalling $1300 as payoff amount. Balance due was zero before Xfinity applied its "reward".
Sorry, I can't show you the ridiculous dialogue offered by overseas Xfinity agents, multiple hours long calls over several days wherein they attempt to explain how Xfinity deserves title to your BYOD phone in spite of having given nothing of value in return for it.
Proof of the refused pkg containing the S24 FE returned to Xfinity and who signed for it at their warehouse makes no difference. Agent X just ignores the proof lying that it was never received.
Xfinity has the account locked down now. I can't port out or move to a cheaper plan. Two different U.S. based a/c executives issued case numbers, promised credits but failed to keep their word. My bank cancelled the card to prevent further fraudulent billing activity by Xfinity,

This sounds like a big hassle tbh. People pay extra for unlocked phones.
also Xfinity is notorious about collecting past due even 100 bucks, they take it very seriously.

edit: certain terms of the deal are not posted by the carrier. For example, refusing to accept delivery in the past would cancel the order. This is no longer true. The phantom phone is still added to the account generating fees for the carrier for 24 months. Also new is irreversible transfer of title.. Once you click on "Trade-in" your phone become the property of Xfinity whether you send it back or not. $28 payments become due immediately. These may continue even if you do send it in just as they are continuing for the phantom S24.

Xfinity fails to warn subscribers that Xfinity will remotely lock their fully owned BYOD on their theory that once you click a box for trade-in they own your phone even if you subsequently cancel your order and have received nothing of value for you "trade-in".
Log in to your account and find under "my devices" that Xfinity has confiscated your BYOD phone holding it hostage demanding payment of $650 for a phone which it never supplied but claims to own merely because the subscriber clicked a box for a trade in offer. Find there also a demand for another $650 for a phone never delivered to you and for which you have UPS Proof of Refused Delivery and proof that Xfinity received it back and signed for it.
File a complaint of fraud with PUC and FCC. Escalation to their corporate on Feb 14th was a waste of time with promises not kept. Hard to imagine just how crooked Comcast Xfinity Mobile is.
