Beautiful to look at and to hold, but painfully underpowered for the price. Which is a real shame because the FE phones used to be just as powerful as the full fat releases but cut back on features.

The Pixel tablet is $299 on Amazon which comes with 8GB RAM instead of the 6GB of this one (128 GB version).

I bought one of these a couple weeks ago and I really like it. I'll notice the occasional hitch and the screen dropping below 120hz, but generally the performance has been totally fine for me, using it as a web browser, YouTube viewer, Slickdeals and reddit, etc. I don't use any social media apps like Facebook/IG/twitter so I can't comment on those but for under 300 bucks with an included S pen and a few years of software support from a reputable brand I can't imagine getting a better value. Sure I'd like to have 8gb of actual ram or more, but Samsung does offer the ability to use some actual storage as "ram" which undoubtedly isn't as good as purpose built ram, but seems to help smooth things out when multi tasking.

It's great. Won't play the most modern games, but I haven't experienced any slowdown with concepts, infinite painter, krita, clip studio.
I will say that this size of tablet is not great to draw on with menu heavy software like krita or clip studio. 12 inch is a better size, I personally think 14 is too big for portability. But, for canvas only drawing, like concepts or infinite painter, it's amazing. I feel if you are really doing anything professional, not sketching, or polishing, you'd want to transfer to a desktop or something.
The other issue is finding a case that actually fits. Most cases say they fit this AND another tablet. But they end up being too small to fit this. I settled on a Spigen and it fits fine.

Samsung's pricing is so chaotic. Makes you not want to buy, unless the deal is incredibly good, like what you paid.

Anyone ever turn one of these into a navi unit for their car?

My thought process is to get a good mount, Bluetooth to car audio and then use rest of the features like GPS, music apps etc from the tab.

Why not just do AA? Lacks apps.

I will try to put things in perspective for you and others. This tablet is about the same speed as the "iplay60 mini turbo" by alldocube; this tablet now sells for $140ish on aliexpress. It has the same technology for the hard drive and both at 128GB, it has 2GB MORE of RAM of 8GB. They both have a micro SD slot but the Samsung has a USB 2.0 port while the iplay mini60 turbo has a USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-C port. That means it can do HDMI out while the Samsung can not.
Point is, not only is the iplay60 mini turbo is FASTER, and it has better internal specs, it is lacking in size and no pen but it is half the price.

99.9% the FE wasn't going for $130, unless sold for parts. Only the A9+ has been below 150. The FE is like an iPad Air and the A9+ is like basic iPad territory. I got my A9+ for $130 a couple of months ago. If that's what you mean.
