It really will never go away, likely only get worse.
I like to price match Amazon to Best Buy in store to get around counterfeiting.
Teamgroup 512gb for $28 right now.
I always use SanDisk, Samsung, or teamgroup. Ive had issues with them all but less issues from teamgroup. I own around 50 micro SD cards. I've only had a few of them fail and they were usually the smaller size ones that tend to get corrupt and stop working. The warranty isn't great on any of them but they usually mess up in the first month of using them or many years later. I wouldn't worry to much about it, and always make a backup if it's important.

Any way to check authenticity of the Teamgroup cards? I always check my Samsung cards with their software.

tl;dr just test them when you get them (with a program like h2testw) and you should be good.
