Ferric saccharate is very poorly absorbed and has terrible bioavailability even with the Vit C to reduce Fe(3+) to Fe(2+). Junk iron supplement - might as well just eat any gummy.

Look for ferrous bisglycinate or fumarate derivatives. This company provides low quality supplements I've realized.

My experience with iron supplements is they taste like iron. Are there any brands or products that have overcome this issue?

You could always do kale. Don't like the taste, freeze it and throw it in a smoothie.

I reviewed a few meta analyses on different oral formulations and teased out the data on absorption rates, actual elemental iron content and side effects and then ran a couple bar chart analyses with comparisons of the different subtypes and had AI make a final analysis and the only bullet point in big red letters was - "Avoid: Ferric Saccharate gummy, poorest absorption (5%), delivers minimal effective iron (0.5% - next highest form was 2.2% and best was 12%). Not recommended despite minimal side effects."

Just because something is cheap and shows a crazy high pre -discount price I would not put this in any loved one's gut. Hope this helps someone. I have no skin in the game but hate seeing people ingest something that isn't right for them.
