This is my main travel charger for work and personal travel. Traveled to Japan, Korea and Singapore so far and haven't had any issues. You do need to an adapter plug in some places but I usually research which one I need and pick up that specific one for a few dollars.

This is by far my favorite charger. At first it was turned off by having a long power cable but it's really great to have something that works so reliably and cuts down on the number of adapters I need to bring

Why are companies still selling chargers with USB-A in 2025? Even Apple, of all people, went USB-C.

For the copious non-phone devices that are still USB-A like night lights for a kid...

I mean, its good to still have USB A, although lot of people upgraded to USB C but then they will have lot of USB A laying around and they still have life in them. and this is a charging station more than a travel charger so they are still quite handy. for me I have lot of rechargable headband light and older tech still use MicroUSB and Ring Doorbell battery they are extremely handy.

OMG, I forgot about my Ring. That damn company just can't get away from a standard that almost everyone forgot about and is used even less frequently than USB-A.

Better question - why does backwards compatibility get into your feels so badly?

$65.99 now. Also this thing is just great. It's much thinner in the backpack than a normal USB-C power brick, and has those extra outlets which pop out of the frame (thus letting it be thin for storage the rest of the time) which are great for travel.

because in 2025 USB-A cables are much more common in use than USB-C. USB-A allows for connection to all types of previous-generation cables, very much still in use. That includes Micro USB and its variants, proprietary cables such as those used for some point-and-shoot cameras, smart watches, rechargeable flashlights, USB lights, bluetooth speakers and headphones, USB fans, and all types of other devices. The existence of USB-C doesn't magically make the millions of USB-A connected devices disappear overnight. Even new USB-C devices still can be charged with USB-A to USB-C cables which far outnumber the USB-C to USB-C cables in existence.
