Awesome deal, Im still running my Alienware Aurora R7 with liquid cooling from like 2018. Upgraded from a GTX1080 to a RTX3070. Not a single issue with this PC. I run it for about 8+ hours a day and often max out the CPU and GPU from gaming yet ive never had an issue with overheating even when my office was 90+ degrees

Does anybody now if the Dell's SSDs are ok? Inclined to upgrade to 2TB unless it's crap.
Prob better and cheaper to just buy one and install it. Super easy. But yes their SSDs are fine.

Will this be OK, cooling wise, situated on it's side? Thinking of using this as a remote workstation but at 16+" high it would have to go on it's side on the shelf I'm thinking of.

Do you have any pics/specs on the Dell GeForce 5080 OEM model?
Dell OEM GPUs tend to be pretty good just not flashy

Good opportunity to flip the GPU, buy a used 4080 and profit.

Would upgrading to 5090 a better deal? Considering the 12% cb and the 10% new customer offer.

10% off, 13% Amex, 12% CB, 6% in Dell Rewards points = pretty slick Smilie.
Sweet Christmas! That's $935.59 off a $2299 system.

You're basically buying the whole thing for $1,363.41, and I'm dubious anybody could even grab a 5080 for that now or for the next several months.

I'm going to have to figure out who is doing 12% CB and seriously consider this, even though I don't really want a 5080.

My friend ordered one of these from dell. Booted it up - and it was cratering left and right due to poor thermals and graphics power based issues.

Beware....

It's a targeted AMEX offer. I got it on my Business Plus card.

It's funny when the video card has as much ram as the motherboard. At least ram is fairly cheap and easy to add.
If you're going this route, you should know that Dell locks their mobos — getting ram that is fully compatible at the advertised speeds is a challenge (unless you buy Dell ram/search out very specific sticks). For example, you can't put a stick of faster Corsair ram and expect it to clock as it normally would (it will still work, but it will be down clocked).

These newer Aurora models have excellent cooling. It was completely redesigned a couple years ago. And as you can see this has an excellent power supply.

Does anyone know who makes the liquid cooling? I had an Alienware R12 and it was a Corsair H60 with an Alienware lighted logo.
