Discover Card is offering Discover Cardholders: 5% Cashback Bonus at Grocery Stores and Wholesale Clubs

Steps:
Go to Discover.com and login to your account
Go to the Cashback Calendar page or click on link below
Click "Activate Now" for the offer

https://www.discover.com/credit-c...endar.html

*The Cashback Bonus shown on the tracker is based on your posted transactions for the quarter and may be different than on your statement, which shows the rewards added to your Cashback Bonus account during that particular billing period. The tracker does not include any Cashback Bonus earned through additional promotional offers. Rewards will be added to your Cashback Bonus account within 2 billing periods. We may make adjustments to reduce your Cashback Bonus based on your account activity, such as the return of a purchase or a reward disbursed by us in error.
You activated to earn 5% Cashback Bonus at Grocery Stores and Wholesale Clubs from 4/1/25 (or the date on which you activate 5%, whichever is later) through 6/30/25, on up to $1,500 in purchases.
Grocery Store purchases include those made at supermarkets, meat lockers, bakeries, smaller grocery stores, and grocery delivery services. All purchases made from Walmart or Target are not eligible. Purchases from convenience stores and discount stores may not qualify.
Check with your Wholesale Clubs to make sure your Discover Card is accepted. Purchases of affiliated Wholesale Club services, such as delivery services, travel, and cell phone purchases, may not be eligible in this category. Individual merchants and stand-alone stores within physical Wholesale Club locations, or online, may not be eligible in this category.

Still 1/3 of 1st 1/4 left as of today. Go to HD and get some 3/4 in plywood. Or maybe Applebee's and drink a 1/5 of your favorite beverage.

We should put the hurt on Discover to make them play nicer. Get the American Express BCP card.

ALL YEAR: 6% grocery stores, 6% Streaming Subscriptions & 3% Gas Stations.

1st year free then $95/year. Easily pays for itself (for me & my family anyway).

Earn $250 back after you spend $3,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 6 months.

Get someone who has one to send you a referral link. The bonus could be higher and they should get a bonus too.

would it include sams club gasoline?

No, wholesale gas stations generally tend to still code as gas.

Is anyone able to view the 5% tracker on Discover's website? I've tried for the last few weeks and keep getting "Oops. Something went wrong.
We apologize for any inconvenience, but the rewards calendar is not working at this time. Please check again later."

Discover says they are accepted at 99% of businesses, are they lying?

Also $7 back on $10+ streaming spending.

Anyway re: Discover, this 5% won't be around for many years, Capital One will definitely scrap it.

for a free card, 5% is actually one of the best offers. Chase got rid of their Freedom card that also had rotating 5% cashback, so Discover It is the only game in town with this kind of card, as far as I know.

There are a few small businesses in my area that don't take my Discover card. I don't recall hearing Discover charges exorbitant merch. fees. Discover does cover like <10% of the credit card market, though. Maybe a lot of businesses just don't even bother?

I'm sure in their 99% thing that they consider something like Costco as one business regardless of locations.

I believe way back when they started up they were higher which keep them out of some places and they got the reputation they weren't accepted everywhere.
