This is best as it gets? Inflation is rampant. I got my last 3 pair of saucony guides for ~$50 in 2023 and haven't seen a deal after that.

Also these are a stability sneaker and are for people with a certain pronation.

The neutral pronation variant is called "ride"

i made the mistake of also getting these at DFW back then for half the price. these are not a neutral shoe. the outer sides of the sole wear out very quickly while the inner sides were barely scuffed. i ended up throwing them away as it made me walk crooked.

Worth noting that Saucony no longer classifies these as Stability and now calls them Max Cushion or Max Comfort.

They actually removed the stability plate 1 or 2 iterations ago. I used to log lot of miles in the Guides but that switch left me wanting more.

I'd say slightly less squish than the kayano. I just recently discovered the asics line after running in Saucony for several years. I like the squishy marshmallow cloud like feel of the asics nimbus and kayano over the stiffer Saucony line. Just my opinion, but it was pretty eye opening when I first tried them on.
