I have one of these and the spout design is the absolute worst... I hated using this so much that I tossed the can after only using a few times.
I bought a few of these 5 gallons. I would never buy another. I wouldn't even take a free one. The spout design is total garbage. to pour i just take the whole spout off and use a funnel now.
I just replaced one of these because it leaked everywhere due to not properly venting. The safety pour mechanism is a real PITA too.

2 Gallon can is $7.79, I have both 1 gallon and 2 gallon, both work well. Key is release the air before pouring gas to you equipment, won't get mess at all

I don't know if everything in this video will work on this particular can, but this video shows how to fix modern gas cans:

Just when you thought gas cans couldn't get any more F#@**% complicated, they release this thing....*EVERY SINGLE ONE* of these "EPA compliant" gas cans *WITHOUT FAIL* cause fuel to be spilled *EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU USE IT*. Can's not vented, so pressure builds up in the warm months...in the cold months it contracts and causes the can to crack at the seams and leak everywhere.

The ones with the lip that catches the rim of the fill hole are *the worst*, guaranteed spill every single time.

What's worse, a tiny amount of vapor, or spilling liquid gas everywhere every time you use it?

In fairness, *this* nozzle looks less likely to spill, so long as you vent it first, but it's still *way* more complicated than it needs to be.

I'm amazed nobody has figured out a way to put Bluetooth and WiFi on these yet...

Am I alone in thinking these newfangled sprouts are much more dangerous than the old simple ones? I usually throw them away and get one of these kits:
