I tested the 1/2 inch one on 3 different car lug nuts and it broke them loose no problem. Had to use speed 3, but it didn't seem to struggle. There was probably some power 'left in the tank' so to speak. And it was great having 2 for working on removing the brake caliper/pads as I didn't have to keep switching sockets back and forth. The retaining ring does make quickly swapping sockets a pain. All my cars are pretty current so not sure how they would work on really rusty stuff, but for me, I'll be keeping them.
