What you need is more battery power to last all that downtime. You need to buy a battery to extend the amount of time this "solar generator" can run. You simply plug the battery into the solar port on the ecoflow and it treats it like solar power is coming in. It'll keep your eco flow battery topped off at 100% and use all the battery power first before using the ecoflow's built in battery. Here's a great deal:

https://slickdeals.net/f/18153907-12v-280ah-eco-worthy-lifepo4-battery-w-6000-cycles-low-temp-protec...

What you do is buy the ecoflow, then buy that battery, then buy a battery charger, then buy a cable to connect the eco worthy battery to the solar input of your ecoflow.

Battery Chargers (Set them to Lifepo4):
$27 slow charger but cheap (takes 3 days to charge that battery)
https://www.amazon.com/ULTRAPOWER...B08MPX414R

$60 faster charger (Takes 12 hours or so to charge that battery)
https://www.amazon.com/Automatic-...B09XV4NJV7

$13 for a 3ft cable from the eco worthy battery to the solar input of the ecoflow (Red goes to positive on the battery, black to the negative)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCSF1277/

Total cost should be around $600.

Let me give you some numbers....the ecoflow unit has 768 watt hours...the ecoworthy battery has an additional 3500 watt hours, so it's like having a bigger gas tank...you'd have 4300 watt hours. With that, you can run 100 watts for 43 hours (maybe a little less since the unit wastes a little power, so safely, I'd say 30-35 hours.)

A single light bulb is around 15 watts and can be run for 12 days straight with this setup (or 2 lights for 6 days straight...3 lights for 3 days straight, etc). You can easily charge all laptops, phones, all small rechargeable devices, many times over, even run a small 500 watt electric heater for a few hours during power outages.

Let me know if you have any questions. This is the cheapest way to run a lot of small things for a long time off battery power.

Be very careful using anything powerful on this device. I bought 6 of them for a client and all went out. Don't use a fridge, printer, or anything similar that has a big pull when it powers on. Turn off the X-Boost feature and just use it as an 800 watt inverter and you'll be ok. Try to go above that and it'll burn out on you in no time. Thankfully the warranty is awesome and they sent me brand new replacements with the request to not use anything over 800 watts. Since then these have worked wonderfully.

It can keep a fridge running for modest length power outages. I've used it for that and also for keeping a pellet stove running for much longer. And it's a whole lot of capacity for most purposes on extended weekend camping trips, for example.

I use these for travel purposes. I carry two of them on trips, one to power a 40w portable refrigerator and the other for a 35w BougeRV freezer. They fit great side by side behind the passenger seat. And they quickly paid for themselves because I no longer waste money by eating at restaurants on trips.

This is an excellent deal because there's a decent chance the River 2 Pro will be absolutely new, and not refurbished. That was the case of my second purchase, which was $259 refurbished but the box revealed that the manufacture date was less than 2 months earlier.

I don't have firsthand experience but the fridge thing may be YMMV for full size ones. Some claim 1000w backups arent able to power some full-size fridges.

I'd say 1000w min / 1500w+ surge would be ideal. Also, 768Wh may not last long.

I'm trying to find out what the solar charge port max for this to see if the "extended power" using a lifepo4 battery would work.

It didn't run my full size samsung fridge, so I had to return and bought a delta 2.

Yes, can confirm a 100Ah 12v LiFePO4 battery will charge this power station at around 175w with an XT60i connector on the power station side.

This is what I would be afraid of, the initial surge on a full-size fridge (around 900-1,000W?) I fear would be too much for anything less than a Delta.

Thanks for that. It seems someone above confirmed their fridge wasnt able to be powered with this so I'll back off on this deal. Fridge is really my use-case for this.

I think I may be in for one of these because the price is just too damn good. I don't think a delta of any form is attainable under $500 (edit: wrong, delta 1024 can be had for $400 with the same sale! changes the strategy a little bit...). I doubt I'd want to even try to run my house fridge off my River 3 Plus with battery (600w with 1200w boost) but 800/1600 rating for this seems more likely to work. Even if it doesn't work on the fridge, there are plenty of other practical use cases for this.
Does anyone know if a kill-a-watt is enough to check for the power spike on a fridge? I might use this opportunity to learn how to measure it with my oscilloscope otherwise.

Update: i'm gonna yolo it and try out my river 3 plus with extra battery (572Wh) on the fridge with x-boost on and see if it can handle it and see if my fridge does any crazy high draw defrost cycles. A 500w 45 minute defrost cycle would drain the whole thing... this is a fairly new supposedly very efficient samsung fridge though. I am slightly worried i'll brick the fridge though.

Update 2: plugged fridge in to kill-a-watt. it only has a 1s sampling interval. i saw during power on it went to 238 watts. it's still plausible it may be a higher spike but something tells me my river 3 plus (and this river 2 pro) can both handle this particular fridge. Will test it out on it next

Damn, you guys have some powerful fridges.

My kitchen fridge (old school more-or-less standard size) only uses about 70W when the compressor is on. Hell, the light bulb inside was using more than half of that at 40W.

I used a Delta 2 during our recent outages around here, only for the higher capacity.

I dont know of any old school full size fridges that only use 70watts when the compressor is on. I have a modern LG fridge that has an inverter compressor. It uses about 120 watts when the compressor first comes on, but can go down to about 80 if its already ran for a bit.

The nice thing about the Inverter fridges is they dont need the startup surge power older fridges needed.
