I got this deal last year. The unit started to have a bad rattle a few months in, called support and had to drive to a local (40 miles away) dyson repair center then I had to pick it back up. So just keep that in mind. Its been fantastic since.

I have the wifi version of this. Works OK but probably not worth the price, even at refurb price. A good, dedicated fan works better than this, same with a deicated heater. As a heater, the Dyson uses the same amount of electricity (about 1000w) as most portable heaters. The only benefit is that it has temperature sensor built-in and will turn off the heater when the desired room temperature is reached. If you use this in a large room, that desired temperature will never be reached so it'll run indefinitely.

I like using this heater in the bathroom because I connected it to Google Assistant and can easily turn it on in the bathroom at any time.

I've had 3 Dyson fans so far, the first the tp01 which gave me the E error warning and stoped, to which I had to unplug the unit and reconnect, which at first was fine, but then I had to unplug it every 10minutes, which got annoying, even with a WiFi plug that turns it off. I think the reason it broke is because of the swivel, when I used that it would go into error mode even faster. I also bought a brand new HP02 and a refurbished one from eBay store with warranty. Both are going strong since I don't use any automatic swivel feature.

So keep in mind, it will last a lot longer if you just keep it pointing in 1 direction.

Shark has a 3-1 air purifier that does all the above brand new on amazon for $177 and filters are cheap....

Have the Costco version of this model (HP4B, I think)? Definitely a luxury item, but, I've actually really enjoyed it for the past year. My master bedroom in a townhouse has a loft above it, and because of its height and level, it's somehow both the hottest room of the house in summer, and the coldest room of the house in winter. Having just one unit in there year-round that can deal with the temperature changes and help my allergies has been great.

The heater, in particular, is a huge improvement over the mini space-heater we used to have, which we basically just had to run on max for an hour before bed, then turn it off. That heat would inevitably leak out. The Dyson heater lets you set a target temperature, and so it will heat until it hits that temp then stop...and if the temperature drops below it again during the night, it will come on to blast more heat until the room comes back to temp.

Official filter replacements are crazy-expensive, though. I have not yet tried using one of the cheaper off-brand replacements on Amazon.

Four months ago, I saw YouTube video. It said all these Dyson models make a high-pitched whirling sound and it's never resolved with new models. That made it in no for me. I don't have time to put in endless research in products to know for sure. Careful.

I don't recommend buying anything from Dyson, I returned one of their air purifiers 3 weeks ago and I still haven't received my refund. Terrible customer service.

The fan and heater definite work great. But not sure about air purifier. I have air quality monitor in the room. VOC level actually goes up whenever this dyson unit is on. Does anyone have this experience?

This happened to me, too. Made noise, then gave an error message and wouldn't run at all. It was out of warranty so I had to do it myself. It was a very difficult repair; these things are not designed for repairability, but I was able to disassemble it and then put the fan assembly back together so that it stopped rubbing.

I got this, showed dyson a video of the noice. They said it's Normal. Haven't used it ever since. They didn't even offer to let me take it into a warranty shop while in warranty.

It's kinda messed up when you try to let a silent one fly, and then your air purifier puts you on blast. "I don't know what you're taking about honey, I don't smell anything!"

yes, you are wrong. HP4"A" simply means it's without the wifi variation. You can still buy it with the wifi variation.... just for a lot more

I may not have been clear. From my understanding the updated app can't turn the heat on - you have to do it from the mini remote that comes with it. I'm hearing this from 3rd party reports but can't confirm it.
