I used Dawn foaming spray and a generic clay bar from eBay excellent results multiple times.

If you are claybarring you are trying to strip away all debris before polishing and then treating and/or sealing. And yeah generic eBay clay works fine with dawn to remove debris before multistage polishing then say.. ceramic coating or waxing and sealing.
