thanks for this tip. i was about to click 'place order' and i thought to come here and saw your comment. before i even reached the reviews themselves it listed 'bugs' on common key words and then i saw this:
"22 customers mention "Bugs"0 positive22 negative
Customers are unhappy with the cereal's bugs. They mention it's infested with pantry moths, worms, and small moth-like flies. Some customers also mention mealworms and rice weevils."
some will say 'thats free protein' but i dont need extra protein so...

No kidding. If those bugs get ahold in your pantry, they will infest all the grains, flour and pasta and it's going to be a nightmare to get rid of them even after you throw away all those food.

I just had this happen to me last year and I had to throw everything out in my pantry and all cabinets nearby. I now put each and every grain item in a zip lock or airtight container before it goes in my pantry to quarantine if I bring something back from the grocery store. Lesson learned

You're right. We moved into a new home (well new to us) a couple years ago and inherited pantry moths. They are dumb (they don't fly away as you smash them) but tough to eradicate since their life cycle is prolonged. I eventually got rid of them with thorough cleanings and sealing everything in hard plastic containers. Also, pheromone traps work.

All that said if you're really cautious about it just freeze whatever you buy first before putting in the pantry as that will kill any insects.

Besides being gross, pantry moths are harmless.

I bought this from a tip last year and had to throw it. I put it in an air tight new container and the rice bugs built nests . I had forgotten to freeze it overnight, but I will pass.
