Walmart will likely take your old battery for free, and some parts houses will give you a $5-$10 store credit if you bring it to them.

AGM life is typically 4-6 years. I've seen them go longer when kept near full charge at all times. in storage, a cheap 12V charger with float function, combined with an AC mechanical dial timer set to run for an hour or so a day, will keep your stored battery hot and fully topped off without "cooking" it.

Edit: I should add that storing a new battery for extended periods prior to use is generally not advisable, as it ages regardless of whether it's being used.

Just wanted to add that putting a timer on a smart-ish battery maintainer is not a great idea, because it will probably trigger it to reset and take the battery to a full charge cut-off voltage every day. This will tend to dry out an AGM (or flooded cell) and significantly shorten its life. The timer idea is great for an old school cheapo maintainer with no float mode.

what a killer deal. These AGM batteries will last much longer and Weize is a pretty reputable brand.

I'm rockin' a Weize in my daily driver for a couple of years now, and have used them in my motorcycle and mowers as well with good results. No complaints. The true test will be when the flooded batteries in my old 7.3 diesel F250 fail and I put in a pair of these. It takes Group 65s but I'll probably substitute 94Rs or 49s depending on how much room I have.

Bummer, no group 25.
I might be able to get by with a 24F, but not sure... (24F is a little over 1.5" more in the 'width' of the battery - if memory serves.. there's extra space where mine's mounted)

They've added some types over the last year or so, but their current offerings are basically the most popular and more modern sizes that fit 80% of cars on the road. The other 20% are out of luck for the time being. I hope your substitution works out to save you some dollars.

The 24F I put in my Tacoma back in January was just a little taller than the stock Toyota battery, but I was able to get it to fit. So far so good I use it every day. Price is the same as I paid.

I bought a total of 8 weize 100ah lifepo4 100ah batteries. They're all dead except 2.

I will never buy this brand again, at any cost. One of the batteries expanded and smoked. $200 18 amp Victron charger.

I got used to lead acid batteries fluctuating but $120~ was a good price for my Group 47 H5. Unfortunately they've stayed at the elevated price of $180~200 for awhile now.

AGM was always touted as a better option so for $120 its worth a chance. Hopefully I get more than 5 years out of it.

What do you think is killing them? how are they used and stored? Hot? Cold? There must be something besides just getting 6 bad out of 8 and did you try and warrantee them?

I've held off on adopting LiFePO4 until it's more reliable. The BMS and other onboard circuitry is a bit too complex for my liking in an environment that a battery typically sees. Have you contacted them about warranty?

if minimum or higher cold cracking amps as factory battery they are all 12v batteries just have find one that fits in cars battery tray and need same top or side mounting as factory battery.

Newer vehicles usually output the higher charging float voltage that AGMs prefer, with a few exceptions like certain Toyotas. Flooded batteries don't mind the slightly higher voltage all that much, but they gas more and require more frequent acid level checks. Anything above 14.2V or so and you should be fine. Below 14V gets a little sketchy with AGMs.
