Called into T-Mobile today because I got a text saying my plan is increasing by $5/line since my older T-Mobile One plan has been the same price for 8 years. The rep told me that there is a targeted offer available to some older plans that started today 3/13/25. Bring your own device and get a free line. I had to pay $10 for a sim card, but they were able to credit me $10 to my account.

Worth a try to call in if you have an older plan. YMMV.

I don't recall how many free lines you had before but paying $50 instead of $115 makes total sense to me! 👍🏻

Edit: unless you can't live with the guilt!
I had 3 paid, 5 free lines before they switched me 9-12 plan. Now, I have 3 paid, and 6 free lines

Interesting. My bill is negative $16 this month and says it will be $50 next month (was $115 previously) Does this make sense?
T-Mobile billing gets wonky once you get switched to a 9L plan depending on how many free lines you have. 9L plan magic causes your plan cost to drop significantly. Good job getting there!!

Anybody know if this is still alive for folks who received the text? I saw an expiration date of March 26th listed in this thread but wasn't sure if that is 100% accurate or if it may have been extended.

T-life still shows the promotion, however I was told that it will NEVER qualify for phone promotions

I am seeing "promoWindowEndDate: "20250331" which suggests Monday is the last day.

How do you see next months "estimated" bill? Is it on TLife?

I just chatted with T-Force and they were able to add a new free line to my account. Have to ship a SIM card to me. I made sure to take screen shots just in case the credit doesn't go through. I've never had a bad experience with T-Force though so hopefully this is the same.

Simple Choice Plan .. 4 free lines ( + 2 paid ) and easily added the one more..

Btw, even though the line itself is free, there are taxes on it ( that you'll have to pay every month ) .. For me ( TX ) it comes around $4.xx for every free line.

Great, the promotion is still active it seems.

Your SOC is TE (tax exclusive). With TI SOCs, the free line is completely free since taxes and fees are included.

I just checked my estimated bill for next month. Apparently, this free line isn't really free after all; I'm going to be charged $5/mo for it. When. I got the $5 per line increase notice, I had 4 lines (2 paid, 2 free), so I expected my monthly bill to be $20 more. Because I got the free line notice AFTER the $5 increase notice, I didn't expect this new line to also "increase by $5". I guess I was wrong because now my bill is $25 more. F**k you T-Mobile.

Anyone who's been consistently denied the offer because you already have 2+ free lines?

If you're seeing the segment on the T-life app and being denied, then maybe just add the line yourself via the app, and it should enroll you in the promo.

I think the catch is a free line after the text but before the actual price increase. Seemingly all previous free lines would be $5 as well...https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=176282947&postcount=102

Where do you see the promo end date? I couldn't find it in the promotion package.
