I have had this desk for a few months and I really like it. Use it for a gaming setup with 1 monitor, probably not the best for office work.

It's also much better if you can lower your monitor to a very low (stand) height, otherwise the display may be a bit heigh in my opinion.

I had an L shaped desk in my teens and it encouraged bad posture. The distances between my neck and shoulders are uneven and this is probably why.

I'm trying to find an l-shaped desk for computer work and music production and nothing is quite right. Also everything under $200 seems very cheaply made.

This is why most older L shaped desks have the L on the right hand side and it sits lower than the main desk by a few inches so you rest your arm on the L to use the mouse and your elbow is lower and closer to your body. Whereas using the keyboard both arms are outstretched for typing. I'm really not sure how this applies to gaming set ups these days where you're pretty much always using 1 hand on the keyboard and 1 on the mouse but it made sense back in the day.

Just buy used locally. Offices give away or sell for next to nothing desks that cost $1500 a few months earlier. Just part of business and project re-designs. I say to do it locally because then you can see the quality of the desk in person before buying as an office might have 50 desk they are trashing that are in varying condition. I've even bought unpacked new in the box setups for like $20 that just never even got set up. Does vary a bit by where you live though so if you're out in the boonies might not be nearly as common.

If it has to be under $200, just get two IKEA tables with their adjustable legs. They can be set all the way from coffee table height to almost waist height.

Otherwise, two standing desks would be the way to go.

Instead of monitor risers, get gas arms.
