Nothing provided in terms of charge distribution using 3 or 4 ports. It is likely that the overall wattage is very low in those scenarios.
Also reviews mention that the charger gets really hot with 4 devices. Plus most reviews are for Vine Free product.

Given all of this and the fact the charger doesn't show any ETL/UL certification, I'd not recommend this deal.

I got it yesterday and was able to run a few test.

Used my iphone 15 usb C, and the highest it got was 22w by itself. Used it to together with an ipad 10th gen usb C and it also max out 22W combined.

One more combination I used was my iphone 15 usb C and fire tablet usb A, and it got to 33w combined. Pics for reference:

Interesting how single C output 22w and 2x C still only output 22w. Sounds like the dual C side of the charger are limited to 22w max and incapable of the claimed 40w capacity.

Maybe the charger is poorly designed that the dual C max at 20w and dual A max at 20w for a total of 40w? If so, that's worse than a shared 40w total.

NVM, it seems like the charger can't ever reach it's claimed 40w. Capped out at 35w smh

Yes you can charge 3 and 4 devices at once, but looks like the max combined watts caps out at 35w.

I wouldn't trust this product at this price. Using a $4 charger on a $1,000 phone isn't worth the risk. They don't even disclose the voltage and amp for the USB-C.

looks fishy, and eerily similar to the $2 temu or ali chargers that are usually usb ports all wired in parallel to single ac/dc circuitry. would love to see it cracked open and examined by diodegonewild he loves taking these apart.

According to one of the reviews with a photo it "conforms to UL 62368".... But it doesn't say that an independent lab verified it. I would personally be skeptical
Chinese manufacturers have no qualms with printing anything on the side of the device to make a sale, this includes brand names that are completely illegal, LOL. You really need to take them with a high skepticism. The only actual proof will be through testing, but I have some of these I got for 2 dollars on AliExpress. These manufacturers are pretty agile, they could swap out parts to make different specs etc at request.

So in other words, you do not recommend this charger? The quality would be as bad as the cheaper ones on Chinese sites?

Anything over 2 dollars is more than they are worth if they suck as bad as they usually do.

So the ones you got for $2 are pretty bad? Can they really damage an expensive phone while charging? Is it even legal to sell stuff that can damage electronics.

I've never heard of MateStar, is this going to burn the house down?
If it was just "charge", easy pass. But one house fire is a small price to pay for "Super Fast Charge!"

But, in all seriousness, cheap Chinese electronic devices like this do not adhere to most safety standards (i.e. UE rated). That's a huge factor in hitting the price point. Most units will burn themselves out safely due to the plastic shell encapsulating the short until either a GFCI outlet or circuit breaker is tripped. As with any electronic device, it comes down to risk tolerance.

From my experience, the mid-tier chargers tend to be the sweet spot. My wife and daughter love to lose chargers, which tends to screw me over when I need a charger. So, I did the thing where I bought 20 "samsung" chargers off of eBay in some bulk auction. 4-6 didn't work out of the box. When dissected, all failed proper safety standards. The rest burned up after minimal use. So, is a cheap charger worth it? I would say no. If you are like me and have a family that loses chargers, go for the electrical sockets with USB ports built in, then hide yours. They cannot lose those. If you are responsible and don't lose chargers, spend a bit more for something proven like an AUKEY. If you go cheap Chinese generic, lower wattage is probably safer to compensate for cheaper components.

Not actual advice.

I have repeatedly learned with chargers: buy once, cry once. Pony up for Anker or go home.

Charging optimally is more complex than 95% of people realize.

You can get a very good Anker charger for a few bucks more than this. Your electronics will thank you.

Received mine over the weekend and tested it extensively. USB A on the charger listed as 5v and 2A for 1 and 1A for another and seem not affected by usb c ports. If 1 USB C port is connected it can go up to 9V and 2.2A which is 20W. However connecting another USB C cable not even charging another device the first USB C port voltage changed to 5V and seems limit it to 2A. So 5V2A for both usb C port when both are plugged in. Seems consistent with previous posts that total is 35W usb c 20w and usb a 15w.

Could you please advise which USB A port is 10W and which is 5V. They both look identical to me.
