What? Are you saying you switched to free local channel broadcasting with an OTA antenna? Feel free to PM me if you mean something tricksy. Your meaning is not discernable by Google other than it being an anime show. That does not compute at all.

Hulu seems to be worse in terms of ads.
Agree. People suck for allowing this to be normalized. There's tons of pushback for every little thing nowadays but somehow we let this be ok. I also think it's truly psychotic behavior from the executives that speak positive about it so nonchalantly

Question: I have it through InstaCart, & every time I go to watch a show, it tells me to subscribe, yet it shows my acct.

Anyone know what gives?

I set my TV to use an AdGuard DNS server and don't see ads. I actually didn't realize it was blocking them until I reset my TV and briefly forgot to change DNS settings.
Could you share how did you installed in TV ?

Thanks,

Thanks,

You don't install anything, just change the DNS server in your device's network settings to one of Adguard's DNS server IP addresses.

But then even YT has a ton of ads unless you have their premium service. And on YT, you don't know when the ads are coming, nor how long you have to wait until you can skip. Granted, you don't have to go through 1-2 min. of ads like some of the other streaming services.

You know Netflix has an ad-free tier, right? Just like every other streamer that I am aware of...

I really don't understand the hate for ad supported options. Don't get me wrong, I do hate ad supported streaming But I simply buy ad free versions. I don't get upset that ad supported exists.
People indignant at the idea of paying to watch ads really should look at it from a different perspective... They are paying you for your time viewing ads. otherwise the service would be more expensive. I believe the data says most people choose that option when given the choice. I value my time more than most people.

Speaking of ads, specifically for Peacock, one thing that was acceptable on their service, at least for watching movies, is that they preload all their ads at the beginning. It's over 3 min., but that gives you time to start the movie and then get your food and drink ready. I haven't used Peacock in a few months, so I'm not sure if they changed it where they insert ads within the movie. For their shows, ads were interlaced within the program, maybe totaling 3 min. for a half hour show.

I think the issue is that people paid for streaming services not to see ads. Then they decided to charge extra to not display ads. It feels like a bit of a bait-and-switch. At least for me.

So if they called ad supported 'basic' and paid no-ad service 'premium', But keeping the same price you pay now for each then it's okay? I mean, I guess I understand being annoyed by marketing but at the end of the day it's just a word. Seems kind of silly to get upset about.

I'm pretty sure they call the ad supported 'premium' to differentiate from the free version they used to have. The name has just stuck around.

To the best of my recollection, peacock premium has always had ads and has always cost $$, with premium plus being ad free.
