Looks like it is 60 days of paid service. I think at $100 it is still a good deal.

Now for damage control. I can drop the plan to $35 next month. It says 60 days of active service, I don't have to use $55 plan.
Or I can just write it off and use the phone as Wi-Fi only. Take my chance that they didn't update their system and try to unlock it after 60 days. In theory, I could potentially reactivate the phone using an eSIM from StraightTalk and get another 30 days of service. But there is a chance that they don't honor that 30 + 30 = 60.

My phone is unlocked now." and that worked! Don't know if it was just coincidence because of my earlier call OR if that actually did something, but can report that at least in my case, unlocking was not automatic nor straightforward.

Reactivating to continue another 30 days could be tricky. I can't even trust customer service to have the authority to answer that. So there is no point of asking.
So if I pick thus up, I can park it in a drawer for 60 days then just unlock and simswap it over to my cricket line?

If yes, what is your working phone's provider?
I'm set to fully unlock according to the original policy in 4 days, I'll check back in then.
