You can start downgrading your CSP card now and don't need to wait. Downgrade to Chase Freedom Flex or Unlimited and transfer all your UR points to the new card. Technically, after July 10, 2025 you can reapply again and will be eligible for the new SUB. I'd give Chase 3-5 days for their system to update. Even if you apply again before the update, you will just be automatically declined by the system without a hard pull of your credit report, and thus no hurt to your credit score.

Yes, I've done the same thing when obtaining a Southwest credit card bonus in the past. Any money spent over $5k (within three months of the account opening) will suffice and trigger the bonus.
