1) Love how the first review was about 6 months ago and the rest were within the past couple months! Were the negative reviews culled?
2) Total numbers of reviews is a paltry 15. Don't know how long Adorama has been selling these but the AVR came out in 2021 (refer again to my prior "culling" question)!
3) Some of the reviews are initial impressions and admitted a deep dive hadn't happened yet. Folks don't normally come back to update their reviews (if it is even possible at all). I rather hear from owners who had a couple days under their belt in a forum!

I am confused.....Wink

You have used one person's review as a litmus test for the product as a whole....
That is valid??

You also skipped the dozens and dozens ..perhaps hundreds.....of positive reviews

So...one review is the litmus test for the product as a whole?.....Wink

I am certain this will make front page for about what seems to be the 20th timeAny real owners here who can speak about their experience and what they think about this unit?If you think value in linear, I am not sure this unit can be beat...assuming you are getting what amounts to about an Onkyo RZ50 or 7100 but with a 5 year warranty
I have had mine since November. The Dirac room correction is amazing. I was very skeptical of this.
I did use the computer app to do the setup for Dirac.
I drive infinity Alphas in the front (center + LR) and infinity universal surround speakers for rear surround and height. Additionally I have an RSL sub.
My room has not adapted well to surround in the past because it's a huge open space with hard flooring.
I am not a super audio person but this sounds great to me. CEC seems to work fine with my Apple TV and Sony A95L.

While that sale might not happen anytime soon, I'll probably continue to wait since my desire right now is mainly a "need". I'm happy with my current marantz avr and living in an apartment, I can't run atmos just yet.

I figured with my current setup, im getting about 85-90% of the best sound from my speakers. Getting a new avr with updated room correction will get me another 5%-10% of better sound.

Imo "need" in an apartment, these are all overkill.
You would not be taking advantage of what's capable.

Thats the great thing about Denon/Marantz if you prefer them.
You get a very good RC with Audyssey AND the option for the full suite of Dirac IF you choose!
You don't have to give up your AVR preference!

With the advent of A1EVO people are quickly finding out Dirac is no longer needed, especially for the cost!
It basically gives you all the performance of Dirac for $20, it's a game changer for Audyssey!

I would suggest starting a budget fund until you get to a more permanent situation.
You will then have a good budget to build a good system that you can take full advantage of.
oops, meant to say a new AVR is a "want" instead of a "need". Even my subconscious is trying to get me to buy a new avr. LMAO

i've heard amazing things about A1EVO so I'll most likely stay with Denon/Marantz, unless an amazing deal pops up on another equal level AVR.

Right now the only missing piece from my current KEF set up is a new AVR and a subwoofer, but given my apartment, the subs in my KEF R11s are more than fine.

The other reason I want a new AVR is that Im planning to get a new tv to replace my 77" C9 and I was contemplating a Sony 98", but that only has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and currently I need at least 3 for my ps5, PC, nvidia shield. So I figured i'd just buy a new AVR when a good deal popped up.

Thanks for the feedback and helping me to decide to hold off until i truly need a new avr.

LOL...its not worth looking it up
The hypocrisy is clearly real though...

But hey...I wondered, several years ago on AVS forum, why most of the product specific threads requested that owner's only post in them

Someone told me to cut down on the speculation, pontification, exaggeration and conjecture

I get it

"Huh he talked about how he setup Dirac in that video, even showed it on screen!"
- Funny how Mr. Robinson sets up Dirac but really has nothing critical to say about it (again...he's trying to get that ad money)! His videos are very much like some of your posts: everything is good so buy, buy, buy!

In contrast, Audioholics nailed it in their RZ70 review:
" In addition to the complexity of the process and awful documentation, Dirac Live Bass Control is not working for me or other Audioholics reviewers."
https://www.audioholics.com/av-re...-tx-rz70-1

In case you're wondering why I'm answering your RZ30 barb w/an RZ70 one, it's because it's the same "off by 1" bug that plagues both DLBM and DLBC!

"FYI DLBC is not required with DLBM!"
- This is one of the first things I said to you when I had the misfortune of answering one of your posts last year. You make it sound like you discovered this! The irony is incredible!
Hmm maybe it's because he knows what he is doing & didn't "hear" some "bug"!

Just like the people even in this thread that have said "The Dirac room correction is amazing"!

I believe you're the only one that keeps proclaiming...everything is bad so don't buy, buy, buy!

Lol "Dirac Live Bass Control is not working for me"...doesn't say audible wise!
Heck many people have said DLBC doesn't work for them or required/non beneficial!

What does this have to do with DLBM again?
Again "ever calibrated with DLBM/DLBC" is not saying ""FYI DLBC is not required with DLBM!"!

This type of thing can't be avoided. For example, whatever you think about the new G45 (X3), it can be agreed the new design is very polarizing! Owners' threads wants to kick everyone else out to avoid any type of criticism but that doesn't invalidate long-time BMW owners' opinions or their prior experience.

Threads where only owners post just becomes a circle jerk that really helps nobody and obscures the truth!

I never said "everything is bad". My only warning to the average SD member is to do their homework when buying audio!

"Audio electronics" were considered Black Magic when I sold these things and they still are to a certain extent (especially compared to "video electronics" like TVs and BD players)!

I disagree

One could take many( perhaps most) statements from a non owner with a grain of salt.....

Here's a comparison of the 2021 clones Onkyo 7100, Integra DRX 3.4, Pioneer 305, and the 2024 RZ30:
https://www.zkelectronics.com/vsr...yo-tx-rz30

I've never owned any of these 4 AVRs but I know from reviews, forums, and interior pics from a Taiwanese website that they all share 90% of components. I also know:

DRX 3.4 - only one of the 2021 clones to have a pre-out
RZ30 - adds more of the newer HDMI chipsets and independent sub-outs, only one of the 4 AVRs mentioned above to be DLBM/DLBC-capable

That's a lot of insight for not having owned any of these AVRs, yes? In what way has my knowledge been invalidated?

I disagree!
"If you're pairing this (or any other 2021 PAC receiver) with KEFs, then all I can say is "good luck"!", "Someone's advice to pair the DRX 3.4 w/external amps would be mandatory in my mind!", "the "newer" RZ30 suffers from the same "off by 1" DLBM/DLBC bug as the RZ50, DRX 5.4, etc!",ETC(many more)!
Are examples of YOU doing the homework, painting things as bad & making judgments for others AGAIN!

Then you haven't been reading ALL my posts! I only ever have criticism for PAC AVRs these days (it wasn't always this way). In comparison, other brands have managed to do a good job with their products. If the worst criticism I can give for a product is "it's too expensive", then you know the product is at least decent!

You also have to be fair: if a SD member says to me "I have true 8 ohm nominal speakers or I plan to offload to external amps, don't plan to use DLBM/DLBC and don't have multiple SWs", then I'd say the DRX 3.4 is probably going to work well for that person. All my recommendations are specific to customer input.

So you can clearly see the majority of your post aren't "warnings" to people to do their homework and not specific to customer input.

Yes to be fair, some "bug" issue isn't going tell anyone whether it will work well or not for them.
Especially since that "bug" issue is not an audible issue!

This is not AVS, why you keep bringing this up over and over again in here I do not understand!

Really.....
.Please share a link to the Taiwanese website where you spent the time with the drawings and were able to determine the specific parts ( from the schematics) that the units share

I have to say , if you took all that time to find out that information then you are VERY committed

Meanwhile..here is a link to the RZ50/7100 owner thread with over 600 pages of posts from owners
Many of these people were on the waiting list at the very beginning in 2021 and paid full MSRP
https://www.avsforum.com/threads/...3/#replies
I own the Onkyo RZ50
From my personal participation in the thread for the past year, I would say that there is an extremely high level of satisfaction from the owner base for these units

For the time being, I'm going to stay away from PAC-related threads until I feel it's time to come back. I'm sure you and Warren (turnne) will be good stewards from now on. Don't let me down!
