Bought this from a previous SD, mostly for the service time, talk minutes....certainly not for the phone(as it turned out), thinking about moving everything back to my old Samsung phone...this one is so sloooow. Of all the years I've been with tracfone...this is the first "upgrade" that turned into a (significant) "downgrade".

The link is for the 2023 version, the 2024 one has 4GB RAM which is not too bad. However, I do see noticeable lag on my Moto G Play 2024 with Android 14 out of the box and not on my old Moto G Stylus 5G 2021 with Android 13 that has almost identical specs. So I guess Android 14 requires much more memory to run.

Just fyi, for those who want to harvest minutes and are not eligible as QVC new buyers. Tracfone website has the same 2023 phone ( one only not a 2 pack), with one year service 1500/1500/1.5 for $49.99 (plus tax). Some Chase credit cards offer 25% off with max $15, so you might be able to get it for $37.49.

Does tracfone provide Android 14 for Moto G Play 2024?
Last time I checked there was only Android 13 from tracfone.

The 2024 version has 14, mine have had it for awhile. TF has nothing to do with updates, they come from Motorola.

There is no 3g anymore and since 2024 version doesn't have 5g pretty sure the previous model doesn't either.
